Way too much arm kibble, anorexic abs, chicken legs--passing / waiting for deluxe

Soundwave is one of my favs and to see him this way looks great! Soundwave has always dealt with the fact that 60-70% of his body is upper body (see G1). And this guy makes Soundwave like he is going to pound on Bumblebee, which is always a good thing.

Wow, Laserbeak's legs are really red, but he can perch on Soundwave's arm and transforms into a shoulder cannon!
Personally I love Soundwave's hulking proportions, and the "SUPERIOR" license plate and the Decepticon insignias on the subwoofers are great touches. He aught to size up nicely with Legends Ravage and HA Barricade too.

I actually like Soundwave's satellite mode better I think. I just can't think of him as a car(though I like the car) who serves as the Decepticon intelligence hub. Laserbeak's weapon mode looks neat.

Well, the lack of silver paint and the legs are kind of a deal-breaker. While the gray plastic can be remedied with a can of silver spray [and a lot of dry-brushing over the black and blue plastic], the legs just look horrid to me. I dunno, maybe it's the blue plastic.

It's a shame, because the top half of him is so cool, with unobtrusive kibble and movie-accurate proportions. The alt mode's also realistic, and Lazerbeak doubling as a canon is great.

Maybe I should stick to the deluxe version, for more accurate scale, as well as to save some funds. From what I saw of the pics in another thread, the legs on the deluxe Soundwave seems to be more accurate, although the roof hanging off of his back is putting me off a little--hopefully, it's just a mistransformation.

Yikes, its a let down.

Stupid feet, weak legs, horrible cheap grey plastic (the doors dont seem to be the same colour).

Hasbro are doing a great job of saving me money.

Way to go Hasbro! you F'ed up probably one the most respectable and awesome Transformers thats been around since Transformers started in the 80's!

First off, lack of any type of color, just that damn gray bland plastic that you find at cheap toys at Big lots or the Dollar store just kills it for me.

Then comes the legs, this i Feel is out of proportion to the figure its self and looks out of place.

And the BIGGEST complaint is the feet! where in the hell did Hasbro designers go wrong here? Was they up all night drinking and smokin bud? this is has to be the most F'ed looking feet ive ever saw on just about any Transformer and i thought HA SS was bad, his feet is awesome compared to this.

Score is 0 for me and a BIG, HUGE, PASS and now ive save myself $30 and ill use this towards GI Joe or 3rd party NON HASBRO stuff.

I has such high hopes for Soundwave, but again Hasbro lets me down....again

I like the figure. Alt mode is really nice, and Bot mode is nice, but why dear Hasbro would you not paint this Merc silver. I could forgive grey plastic on the Deluxe version,but not on the HA. Well looks like its airbrush time for this one. I hope the upgradesade ñd production and paint poor Soudwave.

The positives are they got creative with Laserbeak, the license plate is a nice homage and the Decepticon insignias look like they're on speakers.

The bad is the lack of chrome and the fact that the robot mode looks like an ultra class upper body put onto a lanky deluxe lower body.

In short, nice homages on a dodgy body design. As the old saying goes; no matter how much you polish a turd, it's still a turd.

I am very disappointed now i see the final product. It's not a bad figure but the feet are hideous and why is it not silver and why again the allspark baby blue? I'm getting sick of that colour. If a car/character is silver the toy needs to be silver as well period.

A gallery does not mean a US release, as Seibertron gets his figures online well ahead of brick-and-mortar stores. Also, the galleries are of the Japanese version, with no differences.

Now that I've hunted down pretty much every last Generations/RTS fig I wanted, I have less and less reason to go TF shopping at retail stores. Until I snag this guy, that is.
