I don't suppose anyone in the UK recognises the following number, do they? It's 0161 277 7500. It looks like a Manchester area code, but every time I dial it I get a prolonged engage tone, which makes me think it's a call centre or commercial company.

Anyone ever had a call from this number before?

I've had a shedload of these types of calls in the past, and they're usually trying to sell you something.

These days, if I don't recognise the number, I ignore it. That's why I have an answering machine... :grin:

Some days, it's good to be in a country with a "Do Not Call" registry. :grin:

The UK has a similar registry, but for some unknown reason the buggers still get through...

ive got one of them...its called the i only answer my mobile phone....just have to tell "3" etc to piss of every few months
