OK so I know there is a KO of Classics Ultra Magnus and I know it's torso is blue and this is the reason I'm interested in it.

Now I have a real Classics Ultra Magnus, floppy and loose as hell but it's real, and since I really like the look of him I want to display him in robot mode.
Well the thing is he's currently wearing my FP CityComander armour and I love the look of that very much.
The recent KO Magnus seems to fit the CityComander armour's colour scheme a lot more, with the chest being blue. So i was wondering why risk getting scammed by buying another lose UM and findout that I have to invest another 2 days of hard work so that it won't collapse under it's own weight if I could just go and get a far cheaper KO which even matches the CC armour.

But it's still a KO, and KOs are mostly of sh*tty quality.

So I wanted to know if anybody has this recent KO and if it's any good in terms of being able to wear the CC armour without braking, are the joints good, is the material good and does the blue match the CC armour?

I saw this KO just now in another thread after reading this. Seeing how Classics UM is gone up in price, he may not be a bad substitue to make a full UM. For me the real Classics UM is cheap. Got an incomplatee one for $7.50, and a complete one for $10.

I picked up all 3 KOs of the classics prime mold and if you plan to display one with the armor covering him then I guess that's alright. I haven't tested fitted his stability with the armor on myself, but there are a few things you should know. Firstly all 3 of my KOs have a misassembly issue in their shoulders that keeps them from sitting flush. It's a chore but a little work with a screwdriver can correct it. Secondly, there's no guarantee about loose joints in the legs, especially the side panels on his legs. Most joints I've found to be viciously tight though. Thirdly, his head is actually pretty poorly molded with the cap of his helmet having pushed his eyes down into his mouthplate, which is now also squished. Not that it matters if you're gonna cover that with armor, but just a note. Finally the blue tones don't match as well with the city commander as the real Magnus does.

With all that in mind, I'd say only get it if you're willing to make at least one modification to make him look right, otherwise not recommendable.

I just picked up the 3 KO's and I have to agree with shadowstream.. I tried attaching the CC set to the KO UM and it just wouldn't stay snug, especially the shoulders. I really only picked them up to do some repaints since a Shattered glass OP is costing a liver now a days..I haven't quite gotten around to modifying them but for the price IMo it was worth it..

What does it matter what colour the chest is if it'll be covered by the armour?

You can see the white of his chest and stomach under the armour if you look at it from an angle,which is the way I prefer displaying him as it shows off most of his awesome design and it makes him look more impressive than from the front.

So the armour doesn't really fit all too well and the blue doesn't match up that great and the leg joints might be too week to support the armour?
I'm not too sure I want it now, I might still get it and if it's to weak to carry the armour I'll just use it to practice kitbashing.

How about obtaining a KO CC trailer/armor for a KO UM? Yes? No? :lol:

After seeing what a Shadow commander is going for on ebay i think getting the Ko is the best path.. The only people selling him on ebay are vicious scalpers with ridiculous mark ups..I saw 1 going for $325.....That's insane...
