Lame Transformers that you love despite them being terrible

I agree with Armada Sideswipe. I only wish he was a Scout. I like Classics Galvatron and Energon Prime too.
My own picks for this thread:
Throttlebots. Rollbar in particular. His head mold just oozes character. Love the jeep mode too. Why hasn't some third party come up with new arms or accessories for these guys and the Battlchargers?
G1 Ironhide. Wouldn't touch him until I got the third party head set a few years ago as I had an old Ratchet. Once I saw how good Ratchet looked, I bought Encore Ironhide followed by a new Ratchet as my old one had faded badly. Some nicely articulated arms and the heads really let them blend nicely with the likes of Prowl and Sideswipe.
The Firecons. The botmodes are unique and the creature modes are just fun. Had great fun with them and the Triggercons and Actionmasters as a kid. They all seemed right together.
G1 Megatron. Got him after an 18 year wait. Pics always made his arms look stumpy but I took a chance and I love that toy. He was my sixth TF when I got back collecting but my second purchase as the first 5 were bought together.
Actionmasters. Cheap, cartoon accurate versions of old favourites. My first Megatron, Soundwave and Shockwave. Kick Off's ex gladiator bio was badass before he ever got mentioned in LSTOTW.

1986 Rodimus Prime
Hate the character, hate the block of a toy, but I have an entire shelf dedicated to Rodimus. I hate myself more for liking him. I still hate him.
PM Optimus Prime
Say what you will, he's an awesome brickbot. One of my personal favourites.
I don't own him, yet, but...
Behold boys and girls, the new #1 on my want list:

He's a Japanese Tanuki with a sake bottle and massive balls, that's right... balls, which double as drums. It's right there in the boss' gallery!

Sorry, but you are mistaken: Heinlad is not at all terrible. Excellent figure in both modes, and a fun gimmick which works on many different levels (including the Tanuki as a figure in Japanese folklore). I don't actually even think the general TF fandom considers him as being terrible. BTW, if you do want to pick him up: he can still be found new, MISB, with quite a few internet retailers, for relatively little money (~$25.00)
A Transformer that IS generally regarded as a lame and terrible, but one which I love for just those reasons, is Staxx. Featureless, articulationless, characterless and in horrible colors; he really is just an ugly form wrapped around the idea of a gimmick... And for being the epitomy of a bad TF, I like him!

He's really accurate to his original cgi design, tall, nearly kibble free, and has a fun and easy transformation (especially for a leader). Also, I think he subconsciously reminds me of the Inhumanoids, another favorite of mine growing up.
The fact that he's selling for over 70$ broken and 200$ complete on Ebay disqualify him from being bad and unloved.
I thought the initial hate towards him is what led to him being so hard to come by.
Same for RotF leader Jetfire. Nobody wanted them at first, but now they're both difficult to come by.
I think ROTF Jetfire has the 2nd longest alt mode of all time, next to Fortress Maximus. I liked it when initial leaked boxart was released, and I still do.

$25 for my own stupid fox with big balls?! BOOYAH! I'm on it.
And thank you so very, very much, for highlighting what the "general fandom" and yourself consider my mistakes. So very kind of you to do so.

It's his opinion. If he doesn't like it, he doesn't like it. Just because you do, doesn't mean he's "mistaken."

You also got the quoting wrong.
For the rest, you are most welcome, of course: kindness IS my hobby Anyhow, tastes differ I guess... I do like the "fox with the big balls", and you don't. Fair enough...

It's SOUNDWAVE! I'm really just happy to have him in my DotM collection posed with BB and Barricade. I think I can live without Que (as great as I think his mold looks), but Soundwave is an essential character in this movie. Glad I got him for a reasonable price. And he's not all bad. Great head sculpt. They at least got the wheels mounting behind his head correct. Glad those forearm discs are featured prominently even though they're too loose to stay extended. Also, his gun is incredible, both in size, looks, and transformation. The only other mechtech gun worth a damn was BB's, and Soundwave's looks great pointed right at poor 'Bee's head. But what's cool about both Soundwave and BB's guns is that they actually transformed, whereas most others in the line just had a chainsaw or blade pop out.
Anyways, my DotM collection is almost complete, with Leadfoot being last on my list.

There you go again, correcting my "mistakes". You just can't help yourself, can you? Kindness is your hobby? So you're kindness is " an activity or interest pursued for relaxation and not as a main occupation". Real humanitarian you are... Transformers collecting is my hobby, if you're interested.

Did i get the quoting right on that?

Nah... It should have been:

And furthermore, perhaps you should think about collecting a sense of humor

Getting back on topic: gotta say I still love Pretenders as well, especially the animal pretenders like Catilla and Carnivac. I used to hate the G1 Bludgeon toy, but reading the G1 comics most definitely changed my mind about him. It's funny how cartoon and comic fiction can totally change a perspective on a character and its toys.
