The Energon Pub

A fanfic about a group of Autobots with a traitor among them and a last chance to make things right.
Autobots: Getaway, Moonrock, Drift, Road Rocket, Skids, Devcon, Lightspeed, Nightbeat, Downshift, Longtooth, and Surge.
Decepticons: Blackjack, Vanquish, Fireshot, Greasepit, Breakdown, Roughstuff, Axer, Crankcase, Thrust, Acid Storm, Hooligan, and Skyquake.

Note: This happens in the Spotlight Mirage Universe.

Chapter One: The Survivors

The Autobots inside the bunker had just received news that Mirage of the main team was a traitor.
"What do we do?! Now Autobots are teaming with our enemies so they can win the war!" worried Skids.
"Yeah! For all we know, any of us could be a traitor," said Moonrock, eyeing Drift, who was a former Decepticon. Everyone was in stress from having their location compromised repeatedly. The news had made things even worse.
"Settle down and shut up!" yelled Getaway, the leader of the group. "We're going to be found if you don't! Anyways, Longtooth and Lightspeed have a new invention for us."
Longtooth began to speak. "Yes, indeed! It is a device that draws energon from the ground and splits it into two categories. One is edible. The other is gas, which it emits for 15 kliks at a time to cover our signal. It then has to charge for a groon." He stepped aside to reveal a small, portable capsule on four legs, withe sucker-like feet. There was a serving tray on the side and a small tube on top.
"It looks weird," commented Road Rocket.
"Indeed. And what if we have to leave it behind during a 'Con attack?" inquired Nightbeat. Downshift and Devcon nodded in agreement.
"We thought of that. Only me, Longtooth, and Getaway know the activation code," Lightspeed stated proudly. "Here, let me turn it on." The Technobot reached for a control panel.
Just then, a team of Decepticons broke a hole in the ceiling!

Chapter 2: It Takes a Lot to Kill an Autobot

Immediately, the Decepticons opened fire on the Autobots. The 'Con strikeforce was composed of Blackjack, Vanquish, Fireshot, Greasepit, Breakdown, Roughstuff, Axer, Crankcase, Thrust, Acid Storm, Hooligan, and Skyquake.
"How the frag did they find us?!" Surge asked, while grappling with Greasepit.
"You might say that you have a case of... a traitor!" Roughstuff called from his jet while strafing Moonrock. The green Decepticon promptly got a backhand from his commander, Skyquake.
"You idiot, you just revealed our source!" the teal robot said.
"Time for some Pretender power!" Longtooth shouted. He was quickly enveloped by his Pretender shell, which he used to bite Acid Storm with.
"Moonrock, Surge, activate the Missile Launcher!" Getaway ordered, while shooting at Hooligan. One of the white robot's shots hit the crazy 'Con in the leg, injuring him.
"Yes, sir!" Moonrock complied. "Command code 7407!" The trailer shared by him and Surge promptly changed into a missile launcher. The red Micromaster climbed up into cockpit and began shooting at Axer's own Command Station.
"We're doomed!" Crankcase complained, all the while shooting Road Rocket in the shoulder. The injured 'Bot was quickly hauled by Lightspeed up to the Micromaster's missle base, where repair systems started healing him.
"Crankcase, you're quite wrong," Vanquish replied. He combined with Fireshot to form a high-tech jet. They began to bomb Downshift, who was only saved by Nightbeat driving in and having the semi-unconcscious Downshift pile on his hood.
"We can't beat them!" Drift called while slashing at Breakdown, landing a cut on the other robot's hip.
"I must admit, I concur with Drift!" Skids said while dodging blasts from Thrust. "From my calculations, we should retreat soon, or we will be overwhelmed!"
"Fine!" said Getaway. He threw Blackjack against the wall and called to Longtooth. "Activate Project: Autotrooper!"
"But they're just prototypes!" the scientist whined, avoiding a strafing run from a now ticked-off Acid Storm.
"I don't give a slag!" retorted his commander. "We need them to cover us!"
"Okay, okay!" Longtooth shot a button on the wall closest to him. The door next to it opened, revealing 5 Cybertronian police cars. They drove over to Getaway and transformed into robots. In a monotone the leader asked what their orders were.
"Cover Skids and Longtooth while the gather their stuff. When we leave, Unit 4 will come withe us," Getaway told them. They quickly ran off.
"Sir, the Autoidiots have reinforcements, hyuck yuck!" Hooligan called to Skyquake.
"Then keep shooting! I want none of them alive!" Skyquake ordered. He proceeded to kick Devcon in the gut.
Once Skids and Longtooth had confirmed that they had retrieved everything, Getaway ordered the Autobots to flee. Moonrock and Surge combined with their trailer while Lightspeed hauled the injured onto it. Once this was completed, the Autobots and Autotrooper unit 4 left.
As Devcon looked back, he saw Acid Rain destroy the other Autotroopers with his signature Acid Storm attack.
"Where to next?" Lightspeed asked Getaway.
"Where this damn war went down for us," the white car replied.
"You don't mean...?" gasped Longtooth.
"Yeah. Iacon, here we come!" yelled Getaway as they sped off.

Chapter Three: Decepticonference

Back at the Autobots' old base, the 'Cons were talking.
"They got away!" Roughstuff vented.
"And now, because of you, they know about our spy!" Fireshot said angrily. "I'm tempted to punch you!"
"Not if i hit you first!" Roughstuff threatened.
"Nuh-uh!"
"Uh-huh!"
"Guys!"
"Nuh-uh!"
"Uh-huh!"
"GUYS!"
"Nuh-uh!"
"Uh-huh!"
"GUYS!"
Fireshot and Roughstuff turned to see Thrust pouting at them.
"Listen. We know Roughstuff ain't the shiniest diamond here, but neither are you, Fireshot, so shut your trap!" the red Conehead berated them.
"Anyways, they'd find out anyways, so what was the point?" moped Acid Storm, who was being patched up by Blackjack.
"Me Greasepit say them toos dumb to find outies whos it is," Greasepit joined in.
"Silence!"
The group was not stunned to see Skyquake boiling mad as always. "We drove them away, got it! However the best thing you fools could achieve was destroying drones! You idiots should be ashamed of yourselves. You aren't fit to be Decepticons!
Pit, you aren't even fit to be Autobots!"
There was a moment of silence. Blackjack soon broke it.
"Yeah? Well you diin't destroy any ether! So shut ya little trap!"
"I AM YOUR COMMANDER! YOU ARE SCUM! SO BE QUIET!" Skyquake yelled, and swatted the Micromaster into the wall. "Now," he continued in an icy voice. "Let us return to Decepticon HQ."
Silently, the soldiers transformed and moved out.
