*Warning: long post inbound*
Thanks for all the feedback, you guys! Per your suggestions, I went with Magenta for the eyes and headlights, then added some extra details to bring a little more G1.5 into the mix. Lunatic Prime, I completely agree that it looks better, and thank you for the comparison images. They helped a lot, especially the Wings Universe(?) comic. And his windscreen was always going to be pink/magenta, since IDW characters rarely transformed.
ZeldaTheSwordsman, I have some great plans for Wipe-Out. Specifically:
1. I forgot about that silver strip he had in the comics! Thank you, I have added it. My goal was more comic-accuracy than actually looking "good", since United Wipe-Out already did that. I don't have him but I still wanted this guy to be special, and that helped.
2. I sort of already have, just blackwashed him to add depth/loosely homage the proper colors. I preferred the native purple, but wanted something of his real colors, and hadn't thought of grabbing PotP Tailgate yet. Necro also got chrome for his head and upper chest, homaging Tailgate's shiny head and chest sticker, plus some red eyes sharpie'd on top. When Trypticon's reprolabels arrive, I'll do a huge post explaining his paintjob.

All told, these guys are pretty much done! Wipe-Out has a giant sticker on his backpack, the result is comparable to Energon Downshift. I'm waiting on symbols to arrive from Toyhax, and might put logos on, wear them down, and put the on top of the mess. Whether he's a hardened warrior or just a fanboy, it seems in-character.
Also, Ironfist isn't actually white he's more of a vanilla color. For comparison I threw in THUNDERCLASH

... who needs some touch-ups Can't catch a break with the paint rub...
Some background on Thunderclash:
(pretty obviously) a repaint of TR Octone, found at Ollie's, with a spare Nightbeat head. The "Rapier" is actually a missile from T30 Springer, which I had an extra of after Spinister and Impactor were finished. His physique is closer to the G1.5 toy than the IDW comics, but he at least towers over Ironfist.
For display purposes, he is Tarn's arch-rival. Alt-mode pics for him, Wipe-Out, and Ironfist coming soon!

P.S. If you guys want to take the Fallen discussion to the Resource or Inspiration threads, I'd gladly throw in some ideas. I know a bunch of headsculpts that could work for the job but don't want to go too off-topic.

I have an Impactor in the works, too . But I stopped the work on him after February. I need to get back finishing him. He's almost done (except of his Mini-Con partner ).

But I think I'll go with CW Warpath or Cyberverse Warrior OP. Already ordered CW Legends Warpath earlier so that's it about saving 10 bugs
As soon as I have him in-hand I'll check out if the head scales well with Overload's body and otherwise I will have two THE FALLEN customs...

Sandpaper, scratching. The idea is that he replaced the logos in-universe, like a more competent Armada Wheeljack.

Yea, I've been on vacation for five weeks starting at the beginning of March and afterwards there was so much else to do and then I started to work on my PotP Optimal Optimus which you might have seen some pics of. But I definitely want to finish my Impactor before the SIEGE one releases. I ordered the 3-pack with Mirage and Aragon on Amazon.com and then the release got delayed to mid of October but just today Amazon.de (where I ordered it, too ) confirmed the release date of September 1st. But let's see if that's not gonna be delayed, too.
But why haven't you uploaded pictures of yours yet

I'm not sure if I've seen Primal yet. You didn't happen to submit it to the Awesome Pictures & Poses thread, did you?
As for Impactor I'm just trying to spread out content, although I don't have much to do today so I can probably take a few more photos. I'll edit this post in a few minutes to attach them

Just scroll down the page. There are about three posts of him and lalety I worked on the Prime Masters to let there sparks look like the real Primes. For most of them I chose the Cevenant of Primes style.
Here an example but for Megatronus I went after the classic design I posted in here earlier:

Crazy and excellently made. The depth you've brought to the figure is really something else! Could Megatronus always glow under black lights like that or did you add something?

I painted his insignia with a mixture of yellow and orange fluorescent colors. But I'm thinking removing the paint because I painted it directly on the old one. With out black light it looks pretty realistic but I'm thinking about painting the insignia white first and then add the colors ontop.
I will open my own customs thread soon (maybe when I've finished the unspoken one, IMPACTOR ) and post images of all of my Prime Masters. They all glow under UV-light. Just unfortunately I don't have Nexus, Amalgamous and Onyx as I didn't liked the PotP exclusives.

Btw I used some other effect paints, too: I painted his shins, belt buckle, "stars" on his shoulder joints, the circular arranged square plates on his shoulders where the wings and some other small details with color changing paints and his legs and forearms and the limbs of the small bot, Optimus Primal, with an earth texture paint, black lava-asphalt, to resemble fur. I got inspired for the fur by the Reprolables set for him and checked where the original version of this character had its fur details.

Thank YOU for the info and for sharing. I did a quick search for black lava asphalt paint, and came up with a Vallejo brand. Is that what you used? Guessing it didn't hurt your brushes (assuming that's how you applied it).

Yes, that's the one. I watched a video on YouTube in which the reviewer said that it would destroy your brushes. I first used toothpicks to don't "destroy my brushes". When I realized that this stuff isn't that harmful I used a worn down brush of mine and after cleaning it it was like before. So maybe don't use your finest and best brushes but it doesn't destroy anything.
I will use that stuff to coat my THE FALLEN custom so he looks like a driving shard of hardened but still glowing lava stone. I'm just thinking about coating him with some water texture first to create some rough and "sharp" edges on the hardened stone. KIND OF like this:

But only the gaps will be glowing.

Thank you - Metroplex has been arduous, but I have added blue, orange, and gunmetal to the appropriate details and he is now more than comparable with the LG 'flex, aside from the white decks. I prefer Hasbro's dark plastics anyway. Progress thus far:

ZeldaTheSwordsman, I will look for the hilts among my parts/pieces. I know that megatron/deathsandwich was missing his missiles when I got him. If I find the hilts I'll PM you. The feet, though, I've already slathered in molotov chrome, oil-based gold marker, and acrylic paint

Damn, that turned out stunning!

I only need the one hilt for my RiD Galvatron as it happens. And one foot, but oh well.

Thank you! He'll have to be stunning to face down Trypticon. When those darned reprolabels come in, that is.
Sorry if I wasn't clear, if I have anything it's just the hilts. Deathsaurus started as a megatron, though, so I guess the foot would need some TLC anyway.
Also, threw this up on the Collect-o-tron, maybe a bit too hastily. RiD Seeker Armada:

Got Skywarp for $10 off Amazon since I needed a classics one and he was a stopgap. Then I fell in love with the mold, bought starscream and touched up both last July. Since then, I bought duplicates of both and made full repaints as Thundercracker (Skywarp) and Sunstorm (Starscream). If I find another, maybe I'll make Acid Storm! (or wait for an inevitable new-mold Slipstream and make the female version)

This just happened.





EDIT/UPDATE: Reprolabels for Fort Max, Trypticon, Exhaust, Stepper, Smokescreen, and the Wreckers are in. Expect pics in the next few days as I get them on. With the exception of Fort Max I've least given them unique custom touch-ups (and Trypticon merits a few posts on his own) so it should all be Transtopia kosher.

Nono, that was perfectly clear. I was just pointing out that I only needed one hilt (I have both missiles and one hilt already), and going "Oh well" about the foot.

Nice job on those RiD Seekers, and I look forward to seeing the touchups and Reprolabels.

I plan on giving my Fort Max some touchups, but I want to make some mods first.

Well-played Lunatic Prime, that is Construct-Bots Blitzwing’s head. It was co-tooled with a big smirk for Ironhide. The paint is DecoArt Zinc, a cheap acryllic with some sparkle worked in.

That doesn't look like Blitzwing at all . From the promo pic I get more of BW Scorponok vibe.

Looks pretty nice. I started with the GM22 Gundam Marker but now I use Vallejo Gunmetal Grey and Steel. Steel is actually a great color. It's almost black and metallic and works as a base for my chameleon colors

Took entirely too long, but the "Trypticon Family" is finally complete thanks to Reprolabels!

I detailed/washed/battle damaged the big guy over a year and a half of on-and-off work. When I was bored, directionless, lovesick, or just looking to kill time Trypticon and his countless panel lines were always there
The others were easier - Full-tilt needed minimal help, Wipe-out was a breeze to make, and I have yet to change anything on Brunt (he's that good)

That looks super awesome. Have you considered doing some adapters to let Brunt join to Trypticon similar to how the original did?

I have not, and if I did they would probably be construct-bot scaffolding of some kind Not to dismiss the idea (I may try it in the future) but I'm quite fond of Trypticon as a lumbering, semicoherent mass of industrial greebling and having brunt as a similarly-designed robot or random limb pieces works with that.
