I like that scorponok a little better now.
Yes, the mini one that comes with blackout and the deluxe figure, I like scorponok I would recommend him, besides he wont cost more than 10 dollars. Trust me guys his alt mode is really cool with caution and danger signs all over him, you should be open to him even though his robot mode is not really immpresive.

I think this is a neat feature that is representive of these characters in the movie. I'm surprised we haven't had this confirmed until now. Think I'll be picking both of these up!

I really think they should have ditched the bot mode altogether and focused on making him meaner looking in scorpion mode.
But people would fuss if he didn't transform.
This suddenly reminded me of the old cartoon Spider Slayers. I loved those toys.

I had those, they rocked! Anyway, yeah, people would complain if Scorponok didn't transform, though I can't really call his bot mode much of a transformation...

I think that "combined" is a stretch. Looks more like Blackout just landed on Scorpy, squished him a bit and they got stuck together. In the same way a real Scorpion might get stuck to the bottom of your shoe.

Clever. Shows they put some thought into designing them. Well, aside from designing the toys seperately.

hmm. The dangling tail just doesn't work for me.
But still its kind of interesting to see them combined.
How exactly does it work? I'm guessing pegs in holes .
Yep pegs and holes match, blackout has a lever in alt mode that makes his helicopter blades spin, when combined with scorponok pushing the lever activated scorponoks claws while spinng blackouts blades.
Oooh, like Armada Cyclonus and the Mini-cons designed for him... Nice. That won me over to Deluxe Scorpy, I'm getting him simply because he makes Blackout that much cooler.

I like the view from the front (except the dangling tail). makes Blackout look like he has some extra guns on him. Any other angle doesn't look very good though. And like people say, I wouldn't say they combined. Attatched, yes, perhaps merged if you want to push it, but not combined.

Something else they needed to do -
1) Make Scorponok fold up into something like boosters or a gun mount underneath Blackout - sort of like Bulkhead's gun drone.
2) Make the tail and the claws release when a button is pushed.
3) Make Scorponok detach with the push of another button.
I could see some play value in a set up like that.

This looks pretty pathetic. It's simply a scorpion under a helicopter. And, it's simply held together by a few holes and pegs. Many of you guys are actually impressed by this? Grade school children could do at least as well.

It may not be a very immpresive feature to you guys, but i happen to like it, I know its not something as complicated as masterpiece megatron, but i think it makes blackouts alt mode more interesting. Wethier you like it or not is entirely your opinion.

I thought an untransformable beast wars scorponok to go either with the Blackout toy or this film was totally unnecessary.
