True, while they do have a very similar alt modes there will be some slight differences. Sunstreaker for example will have his classic exposed engine and both characters engines will transform into weapons. I think it's ment to be a saving grace from Alternators.

I don't think I saw this yet, but baseformers were brought up, and they said that there was something in the works that would take care of that desire for us. What that means we do not know, but at least they did not say no, as we were told last year, and before.

I was going to ask the very same question when I went up but I was turned away. Ironically the next person asked that question. I think we might get the bone on this one. They some what danced around the question, and they had hinted at the ark being a playset. Does anyone remember mighty max? I think that's what the Ark Playset will be like. But then again who knows, maybe we'll get a wicked Trypticon.

Don't forget that Elita-1 shows up as part of Magnus' crew in the Botcon comic, based off the female Decepticon from Cybertron (name escapes me currently, -5 points waaaaghlord) with a redesigned head. Since we didn't get her at the con she may well be showing up as a club exclusive later in the year. It's not exactly what many people would call ideal but given that we haven't been able to get so much as a proper Arcee to date, a new mould for E-1 seems unlikely.

They would not say anything in the CLUB Panel about their thoughts on characters for exclusives to be released by the club this year, they instead told us what goes into making one, and that they are still sitting on many of the last 2 (Air Razor and Astrotrain).

I believe that Elita One was brought up from the comic, and they said there were no plans at HASBRO.

Well, I am quite happy with the run Alts have had. We got pretty much all of the Autobot cars out of the line, and once they're done, what's left?

Of course, I mean the Season 1 bot cars.

two friends of mine work on the show (sorry can't talk about it) the one said the toys are straight designs from the character designs... that got my heart racing!!!

Depends on who you ask. Personally, it's one of my favorites, better than OOT.....

.....But then again, My all time favorite is still Zelda 2, which most zelda fans would consider blasphemous. Nevertheless, Wind Waker got very excellent reviews just about everywhere you look.

I have been waiting a very long time for an updated Galvatron, much longer than I waited for Unicron, and now risk getting my hopes up.

I realy do hope that Classics comes back in force!

Everything about Octane, Sunstreaker and SideSwipe are very promising to me, and I hope Hasbro don't F___ it up.

Well, we have Grimlock being a part of the new cartoon at some point, and getting an animated figure, as well as two dinobot counterparts--who also should get toys...

That is all that was basically said about them, except, it does not sound like we will get all five, any time soon.

YES! I can't wait for Classics 2.0. It's an awesome toyline so far, I can't wait. Hopefully we'll see that Cosmos, too. Maybe we'll see Cyconus and Scourge as something worthwhile for the first time in ages

Sounds like a ton of good stuff.
I'm kinda glad they're dropping Alts and Titaniums in favour of (new) Universe.
As much as I like Alternators, they're kind of standalone in that they don't fit in with any of the other ranges. They're good as display pieces, but when half of them are redecos, it's a lot of money to be shelling out, so I can't say I'm surprised that many people just buy one version of each mould, leaving the others shelfwarming.
Same kinda goes for Titaniums. For what you're paying for them, they're mostly tidgy when you put them next to other figs. I've got the Rodimus Prime, but frankly I'd rather have paid the same price for a Voyager-class Classic version.

I'm definitely glad to see some of the names listed for Universe, although I'm a bit surprised that they're going for Octane as an Ultra, when Astrotrain only got a Deluxe. I'd also like to see the updated Shockwave and Cosmos make it into the range, although I could take or leave Arcee.

I'm getting more and more intrigued by the cartoon, too. The more info we get, the more I like it. Can't wait till it comes out over here, so I can actually judge it properly.

If we were to be getting all of the triple changers in one line (and yes, I know that with Blitzwing being in Animated this ain't gonna happen) it would make sense to do most of them as deluxes with Astrotrain and Broadside as ultras. These guys were always the 'transports' and in Broadside's case he was portrayed as something of a giant both in his cartoon appearances and in the recent Stormbringer. Not going to happen, wishful thinking, yeah, yeah, yeah, but come on, wouldn't it be nice...

Nothing wrong with a little wishful thinking, as long as you temper it with the possibility that your hopes may be dashed to pieces...
