Ok, a little vague, what with this being one of those silhouetted teaser pics, but I can deal with that unlike some.

So this will be some extra 'city-forming' add-ons which will attach to the Energon/Year of the Snake Omega Supreme in both modes.
I would assume that will put a cropper to any combined efforts with Optimus Prime to form Optimus Supreme?

Is this a new sideline for Maketoys then? :???:

looks cool... but this set doesn't fix the biggest problem in YOTS OS. It needs a Blaster Arm! not that weird looking one it has now..

Yeah, I saw this coming. Although I must admit, adding a blaster arm would have made it more worth it.

I dunno .... if this ever goes on clearance I may get it. I don't see this as necessary.

Nice I might pop on it. Does need a blaster arm though. calling Dr. Wu !!! If they do a G1 kit for Genesis I will be spending some serious cash...

Colour me interested, but I'm going to wait to see final pics before getting too excited.

Maybe the kit will come in two parts and a blaster arm isn't far behind?

Very interesting. The blaster arm doesn't bother me too much (though I'd like to see an upgrade, maybe a cone over the bow of the ship). I'm a fan of Robotech/Macross, so the arm reminds me of the Daedalus arm of SDF-1. And the starship portion looks like a Yamato style, which I think is cool.

I'll keep an eye on this one. I used a Christmas Amazon gift card on YoS, so we'll see...

I have been a big supporter of genesis and i will be getting it either way but now i may need to get yots os and this set as well because i am a BIG sucker for city/base bots. But only if maketoys or someone makes a blaster arm and it would be nice if the tracks/wings weren't so honkin huge, maybe fold in half for bot mode?

Everyone keeps mentioning the blaster arm. I just don't see that side of the toy as a spaceship, it just looks like an ocean going battleship to me and subsequently (for me) doesn't fit as a rocket.

If I was to spring for this it would have to match the Energon version (not buying a big crappy toy a second time at a mark-up), the 'wings' would have to look better and the kit would have to include more than just a blaster arm. It'd need components to rework that entire side of the toy.

Guess this will be an auto pass for me. More money for other 3P offerings

It's probably that I was young and impressionable when all that Japanese Animation stuff came out that the Yamato aesthetic is pleasing. I see what you are saying. I think the reason is that battleships like the Bismarck and Missouri were just so cool...

Simply not digging this. I feel like (if they are indeed trying to make YoTS Omega more G1) they've done it via what was in my opinion the worst feature of the figure: the base mode. I would have loved a blaster hand (not a strictly G1 accurate one, just one that looks like it could seriously annihilate something) something to make the front of the construction vehicle more tank-like, maybe even a new joint to add shoulder elevation to the claw arm.

I first saw the image of this upgrade set on a random Google image search, and I thought someone had PhotoShopped two pieces of Scalextric track to the figure. :SICK:

Same here. I have been hesitant to pull the trigger on the YoS OS but this Maketoys upgrade kit might push me over the edge. Only trouble is that Maketoys tends to be pretty expensive and the upgrade kit will probably be more than the YoS itself if their other kits are any indication of price.

Was not expecting the cannon add-on for the other arm. Very nice~! Looks like I made the right choice in picking up the YotS Omega for this add-on, rather than taking on Project Genesis.

Just hope the price isn't -that- much more than Maketoy's Battle Tanker offerings.
