Hi folks, I just thought I'd weigh in on this since I've had the Bulldozer and Excavator set for a few weeks now.
The way the arm is set up does look like it's going to allow for more posability in the shoulders than Hercules, granted I do not have Herc or Crane and Dumptruck so I can't actually compare or confirm that just yet. The figures themselves sit almost like a shoulderpad and are jointed seperately so you can position it to allow more "arms-out-to-the-side" poses.
I plan on posting some pictures tomorrow evening, once I take a look at what I'm allowed to do on this site, and I'd be happy to answer anybody's questions about the figures.
A couple right off the bat, that I'd seen on other posts about these figures;
The MTC.co markings on the sides of the figures are NOT stickers, so anyone who didn't like them, you can't just peel them off. They're only coming off with some chemicals and care. They way they've been applied is kind of hard to explain, as they are not paint per say, nor are they decals. All of the "paint" details on them are done this way and they are quite durable. So if you really hate them, you may want to paint over them.
Scale wise, they are a little taller than most of the deluxes I've sized them up to. They measure almsot exactly 6 inches tall, and don't seem as tiny as the Chinese language review we saw made them seem when he compared them to Sunstreaker. While Hercs figures look alot beefier, these don't seem to be way smaller.
And lastly for now, the quality of them is quite fantastic. They actually feel alot sturdier than some of the official Hasbro stuff. Compared to Fansproject's stuff that I have, they are right on par. They don't feel brittle or cheap, they are put together really well. I've been playing around witht hem quite heavily since Feb 3rd and nothing seems to have gone floppy or loose. The ratchets are all clicking beautifully and the ball joints are nice and stiff, but not too stiff.
So ya, if anyone has any specific questions, I'd be happy to answer. These things are fantastic and I cannot wait til it's all done.
Sorry that my first post is so big, I'm just really excited about them.

I'm surprised no one's posted this photo from TFSource's listing of the figures.

Got myself intrigued so thought I'd take a quick look at the limits of the shoulder articulation on Hercules. I'm sure most who have these figures have already done it, but for those you haven't or who don't have the figures here are my findings. (Sorry they're not pretty. Just wanted to get it done quickly.)

Sadly there really is sod all room for movement in the left arm when the crane is attached.

The fiction's easy. Just make your Landfill be the replacement Devastator they were building in Earthforce. Considering as how they were building it as Devastator not the individual Constructions, you could even make him less aggressive and destructive so he can be an Autobot!

There's a Gundam version Hercules?
I must have missed something somewhere, cause I'd love the hell out of a Hercules colored like an RX-78.
People are using 'gundam' as a replacement for 'god damn', which is ironic because when I first saw the word 'gundam' I thought it was an internet-speak version of 'god damn'.

For anyone who wants to see these guys in a pretty in depth way (and in english), there is a 4 part video on youtube by sarnian1979. The quality isn't the greatest but you get a good idea about the 1st 2 figures.

Well...I'm convinced. Yeah it's yellow, but I'm okay with this. Heck so little of my Bruticus matches its cartoon coloring and it turned out well. So bring on the horse of a different color, at least it gave me a reason to use BBTS's pile of loot option finally.

Yes, I know. Hence the winking smilie.
I was being snarky, because it's a stupid word to use as a replacement as it has an actual, well known meaning and connection to something that's older than the internet as we know it.
