So, A new Metal Gear Game is coming this way pretty soon! Needless to say, I'm pretty excited, having played every title to date (Accept Acid 1 and Acid 2) I'm surprised a thread didn't pop up sooner. One thing I noticed is, It looks primarely Action based. I don't know if there will be a whole lot of stealth in this one, but that doesn't stop it from looking like a good game!
Oh, and you play as Raiden, not Snake. I don't know if that means there won't be a cameo, but I doubt it. I don't mind the change in gameplay really, I did hear that Hideo Kojima wasn't really involved in this, but it says "Kojima Productions", so those rumours are most likely false.
Motto:"May God have mercy on my enemies, because I sure as hell won't."
Ah, haven't really been watching the news on this for a while. While I can't say I like the change from tactical espionage action to straight-up action, what Raiden did to RAY there sold the game for me. It was confirmed that, like all Metal Gear games, it's easy to go through the entire game without any kills, and that bloodshed won't be rewarded.
(Also, I heard a guy with a German accent, and in Guns of the Patriots, they mention having to take Raiden to see Dr. Madnar. I kind of assumed he was dead, though...)

Kojima Productions produced the game, but it wasn't developed by them. And the work they originally did do for the game was originally scrapped, and then outsourced to another company. Often times development situations like that indicate a pretty poor game.
I'll just wait till the eventual MGS5 for my Metal Gear fix. This looks like something different completely, and if I do get it it'll probably only be once it's in bargain bin pricing.
