So during the original launch of Encore Bruticus there were concerns about deteriorating molds and floppy joints. (Due to the fact that the mold had been used so many times)

Can anyone who has bought this set and opened it comment? I am currently waiting for a good markdown to pick one up

I know the colors are different, but since I just own G2 Bruticus, its not that big of an issue.

The limbs have fared relatively well as I heard, it's Onslaught that's hit the hardest, with less distinguishable detailing and even mold defects. That's why I'm skipping the Encore even though I really want a version of Bruticus/Ruination (especially the Urban Camo one).

Urban Camo is the best version of the mold, and I've been trying to track a cheap tiger stripe version for years, since I literally walked past an end cap full of them, thought "I'll wait for clearance", and never saw one again.

I have no real issues with my Encore version. I thought I did until I realized that the shoulders were transformed incorrectly. This is my first experience with these molds though.

I'm still disappointed that Takara took us all by surprise by releasing Bruticus in an all plastic version. Before the actual release, I had so much hope and very excited about getting one until the reviews came and that ended my wanting. Anyhow, I did end up getting the original loose Bruticus from ebay.
