MP Grimlock still a go?

Postby tacogrande » Fri Feb 05, 2010 1:51 pm

I haven't been keeping up with Transformers news since I'm not interested in movie or animated toys, plus I'm poor. I saw a dozen MP Skywarps at two different wal-marts all marked down to $30 each and still not selling. I was just wondering if Hasbro still plans to release the Masterpiece Grimlock in the states or if this has been canceled due to retailer lack of interest.

I can't afford the Takara Grimlock so I really hope they release him in the states!

I think Grimlock is still a safe bet to come out...the question will be in what kind of numbers? Will it be like Skywarp where he's been fairly easy to find or more like Starscream which was quite scarce MOST places (while sitting on clearance shelves like Skywarp is in others?)

The other question would be if Thundercracker will see a US release?

Thundercracker could be in jeopardy, I forgot about him.

Grimlock cost more in Japan, right? He'd probably cost more here too which could be a problem, even though he's a popular character.

The MP line is the only "premium" toy line I've ever bought into. Hot Toys figures are amazing and I'd love a movie Iron Man or Arnold T-800 but I can't justify the price. Thanks to Hasbro bringing the MP's stateside I've been able to enjoy this line at a reasonable price, I hope it doesn't end.

Maybe toy fair will put my fears to rest.
