Hi.

I'm in need of advice. Didn't know if this was the place to ask or the buy/sell/trade forum. I figured I'd start here, as the other one seemed mostly for deals.

I have an extra Masterpiece Soundwave MP-02. Thanks to TRU's excellent shipping practices, the box is dented.

The question I have is, would it be better to sell as is, or open it, and break it up and sell the pieces separately?

I have yet to open it, so I wanted to get a consensus opinion before I did.

Moderators, if this is in the wrong place, please move it to the correct one if it's not too much trouble.

If you plan on selling it, you'll still fetch a higher price keeping them MISB compared to the other options. However do not go over original retail as scalpers tend to do. Do make note of the dent and provide photographic examples.

If you don't want to deal with selling it. You can always return it.

If you don't know how much to sell it for (and risk being called a scalper) just open it at $1 and let the market decide what the price should be. It is a risky options especially since you have a messed up box and there are plenty of MP Soundwave listings out there.
