It's beautiful. Everything that is a black repaint usually is. But too darn expensive.

I pre-ordered with Robot Kingdom and they do charge you up front for pre-orders. However, I just sent them an e-mail to cancel the order and they refunded me via Paypal.

I would love to own one of these molds, since I missed out the first time they came out, and Black Convoy seems the better deal for me right now out of all the available versions. Ultra Magnus is ugly. MP-04 is an extra $60 for a trailer I don't care for. Black Convoy just oozes awesome. It may be expensive now, but wait a few years for the inevitable price inflation and $150 would seem pretty cheap.

Will these images, readers can check out the details of the toy prior making decision for the purchase.
The Takara version of Masterpiece MP1B is expected to be released on January 2010.

Must.... resist.... buying this.

I must say though, it's looking better all the time and I feel somewhat better spending 150 on this then I did on Grimlock. At least this guy PROBABLY won't show up in the US next year.

Received MP01B today. Is it common to have some of the plastic parts pop off during transformation? Like the back piece that opens to let Optimus' head come out, or the headlight panels?

My version did NOT come with the comic, so I don't know if it's bootleg or whatever, but I've heard of a version without a comic from this board or something.

It's also smaller than I remember. Then again, maybe I've gotten bigger since I last saw a Masterpiece Prime mold.

Plastic pop off that you mentioned i guess is common, mine is like that too.

Yours shd be Hong Kong Version. It shd come with metal plate. Comic version is only for Japan version, release in January 2010.

Size wise is the same as old MP1 or MP4.

Ah, well. I suppose someone will just scan the comic and put it on the internet anyway.

I thought MP01B was supposed to be an e-hobby exclusive? But there's a Hong Kong version too? With my luck, there will eventually be a U.S. version for $60 USD one day.

MP Prime comes with a little bag that contain 2 small plastic pieces, if you look at the pictures or if you have Prime you'll know what i'm talking about.
can anyone tell me please what those pieces are for ??

I can't really justify the funds to get another version of this mold. Maybe in more prosperous times, but for now it's just a bit superfluous.

For some strange reason though, I simply must have one of those little black bags with the Autobot symbol.

I really hope they lean into doing black repaints before white magnus repaints from now on.
