I hope Hasbro has/will change its mind about bringing Rodimus Prime, not Hot Rod, over here.
And I hope he's affordable.

Hasbro isn't going to add the trailer as that effectively prices him out of most people's spending limit and any retailer from wanting to carry it because it ends up too expensive and too large.
So either make due without or buy the TakaraTomy one.

I guess it's to much for Hasbro execs to lower the profit margin or take the monetary difference out of their own pockets? I wonder if the US directions will even mention Rodimus mode.

Skyfire-5 wrote:So what are the odds that a 3rd party releases a trailer for the Hasbro MP Roddy that would cost less than $140 and be more aesthetically pleasing (sans shell). What would a MP Protector look like? Would the rumored Targetmaster have somewhere to chill? Sorry purists, had to be asked.
Upon further observation... forget it. I wouldn't buy it anyway.

You forget that Hasbro is in it to make money, they're not going to sell a very large collector item and not expect to turn a profit on the cost to produce it. You're asking for way too much and either have to make due with the Hasbro version, buy the TakaraTomy one, or whatever. Hasbro isn't going to price this down, taking a loss on each figure just so you can get all that you want at a cheaper price. That's really a ridiculous question.
I knew it was a pipe dream. I was just thinking in this day and age of corporate greed being shown to cause all the worlds ills that Hasbro would take a stand. I'm not even sure if it's Hasbro setting the price. Toys R Us, who are getting the figure, have set the bar for their MP at $60 and no higher. I don't think they want something more expensive. Another point, who says we're not getting a trailer? They might include a cardboard one in the box.

Huh? Corporate greed? In my opinion, greed is when someone wants a toy so badly that they want the company to sell it to them at a loss. Collecting Transformers is an expensive hobby, especially Masterpieces, which are designed specifically for collectors. Get used to it.
