:-? I should use movie Swindle's frame as the base for a new HMW bio... an upgraded version of Voyeur, Decepticon surveillance expert (now with wheels!)

Swindle's Robot mode is totally not what I expected. I don't really like it. He looks like his standing on his toes. To look taller. not a nice looking figure.

And looking at his tech spechs, it says 1 for intelligence and like 10 for fireblast, so he's a BFG toting idiot.

"yeah look at mi big shiny gun, blast everything away yeah huh huh..."

Bonecrusher, i might get, but I need to see in person:

Bonecrusher I like, but he needs more detailing. Swindle is just rubbish, looks like no effort or thought went into him other than to knock out a generic figure asap. Must try harder Hasbro.

I really don't like either on of those. Bonecrusher seems way to Beast Machines for my tastes and Swindle doesn't have a lot to be desired.

Bonecrusher: Niiice. Too small, though. Like Blackout and Starscream, he's more in scale with guys like Legends Bumblebee and Jazz. My fingers remain crossed for a larger version later down the line. It's always worth remembering that these are just the first couple of waves...

Swindle: Yyyeah. I like the idea, I like the head sculpt, I don't mind the name reuse (possibly a homage to Armada Swindle, the red F1 car?), but... deary me. I'm all for innovation, but I'm not even sure how it stands up.

have to admit here, I love the Beast Machines story and detest the 'show' toys. They just suck...

My argument goes like this, "Why do Beast Machines toys suck? Silverbolt. That's why."

To be honest, I don't think they should have even made Beast Machines toys, since the characters didn't transform - they just shrank into balls of light and stuck their limbs out.

And damn it, someone already posted an 'Armada Laserbeak' comment. I knew I should have done that before going to sleep last night.

Swindle is a war profiteer with ulterior motives, not a brainless lackey.

And Inferno was a fire truck, but the name was reused in Beast Wars, and he became a very maniacle(sp) fire spewing ant.

Silverbolt was a plane who was afraid of heights, and evolved into a compatant commander(I guess). Yet in Beast Wars, that Silverbolt was essentially a knight in shining armor, a far cry from the G1 character.

My point? These characters have little to nothing to do with the characters of old, so it's kind of pointless to compare them. No offense, just stating a fact that should be remembered.

And I'm gonna go against majority and say that Swindle the movie figure is pretty neat, as a drone figure. And the idea of a doofus with a big huge powerful gun on his chest isn't the worst thing that could happen. I figure that since most cannon fodder soldiars get blown up within seconds anyway they don't need much intelligence, and you might as well arm them with the most powerful guns and hope to take out at something important.

Rule #1: You do NOT give the idiot the biggest gun! Ever had a n00b take the Redeemer in UT? Then you know what I mean. Just like Ralph Wiggum with the sword, the kid from Grindhouse with the revolver, or redneck president at the helm of a superpower.

LOL... Yeah, I got the Redeamer!!!!! Ooops i blew myself up. along with any body in a 2 mile radius. I used to play Unreal Tournament with a few of my friends and it was always a race to get the Redeemer. I can still see the big ball of energy coming out of the wall, because the idiot fired it against the wall on the other side.

Back on topic though, I still don't like Swindle. He's just fugly.

THAT'S the impression I get when I see Swindle. And his stats aren't very reassuring either...!

Ma I the only one who thinks Swindle looks better than Bonecrusher? Bonecrusher just looks like he has too much of his size justting out in the front and back, whereas Swindle unflds into a robot mode with protortions that seem more in-line with a normal deluze.

True but in those cases the re-use of the names makes sense. Inferno was a fire ant & Silverbolt was a grey/silver wolf eagle fuzor, where as the name Swindle implies someone who's, well, a swindler.

I bet swindle could still swing a bargan or two by showing someone the barrle of his single huge man nipple. Not to mention in the 1st prequel comic Swindle is the one dishing out the tourture. Seems like something G1 Swindle would be pretty good at.
