watching the first episode of TF cartoon you get to see the little cybertronian vehicle alt modes and this would be quite at home there!

I can't wait for this series to come out. I really like the fact that we can get a deluxe Prime or voyager Prime. I have a 4 yr. old son and I have shown him the clips of the new cartoon and I think he is just as excited as I am. Anyway thats my 2 cents worth.

i notice that the animation toys are a bit like the incredible jizaitoys (wheelie and cyclonus) in style, that can only be a good thing!!

BB has an incredible reconfiguring of parts from the alt mode. In memory of 6 month old comments in relation to these toys: just how can they possibly make toys that look like the anmation but then transform????? remember all that nonsense? a good job the designers have more imagination and skill than those whiners.

I don't know.. the Transtech designs are in a class of their own, and I can't help but go back to that series, I mean it was a good idea, that just never left the ground.. and I think that alot of the designs that come out, still reference back to those early preconceptions..I'm sure alot of the designers would like us to forget that series entirely, because then their work can be determined "Unique" but maybe it's just a coincidence, but I think some artists in designing say the movie characters and the animated toys take some creative inspirations from Transtech, since it was never really released as a full fleged series, they can use what ever they want without being outwardly obvious about it..considering most fans wouldn't recognize it..

still i think there are Similarities.. not exact likenesses mind you.. just some similarities..

I haven't paired up Megatron with the transtech designs, though i think the Movie Megatron was more of a homage to that early concept..but the shoulders and the helmet might match up somewhat.. I'll research it...

Overall, i thinkt he animated toys, though different in their proportions are a nice figure line.. and I'm glad I don't have any words to eat.. I'm full of joy...

Shield looks good, everything else look like crap in my opinion.

I like Prime, but I don't quite like Bumblebee's colour, it's a bit faded. His face is quite cute tho

I'm not fond of the Optimus, vehicularly challenged as he is, but Bumblebee looks quite neat.

This line also seems to set new standards for articulation, or at least posability.

They are a impresionant toys!!

bumblebee= COOL

Prime= really gay, stupid and a disgrace to the name.

They don't look too bad, but I really think that the joints look flimsy. Prime's arms look like they could break pretty easily.

Two questions:

1. Really, how the hell do people get hold of items like these? Do they raid Hasbro's warehouses at night?

2. How is BB's head hidden in car mode? Judging by its fixed position relative to the windshield, I don't see how Hasbro managed to disguise it within the vehicle. Any ideas?

I have been wondering about the same thing.

eh, I guess I'm just not a big fan of ball joints. I think they're ugly. For practical purposes they work great and I don't mind them when they're hidden and not loose. But the way Primes arms look with the big ball in his elbow just reminds me so much of DreadWing **shudder**

Optimus Prime should never remind you of DreadWing.

I may need to reconsider my thoughts about not collecting this line. These look pretty good. Hope this bodes well for the show after the travesty that was Cybertron.
