I'm not sure if it was figures getting released (and combiners NOT getting released) or just an idea that sparked in my head, but at some point I decided to try and make Classics-verse, non-combining versions of all the combiner teams. It was an interesting exercise, and while I'm perfectly happy with my choices I'm curious as to what you guys think. Would you choose different? If so, who?
Pictures are included, and as a result this post is a little picture heavy. If you're curious to see these guys grouped together, check the link in my sig - they're in the later sections.
Also unfortunately they just haven't made decent versions of every character, or in some cases any character (I'm looking at you, Terrorcons

) so not every team is listed. For anything that doesn't appear, it means I don't have any suitable ideas; for incomplete teams though, I'll list what I have.
**edit** Since TFU.info has an issue with hotlinking and unfortunately there are a couple of figures here not in the galleries, the images for those may not appear. For those, links are provided to the site at TFU.info**Now without further rambling...
**Autobot**
-Aerialbots-
Silverbolt: Universe 2.0 Silverbolt

-Protectobots-
Hot Spot: Titanium Hot Zone
http://tfu.info/2009/Autobot/TitHotZone/hotzone.htm
Streetwise: Classics 2.0 Prowl (to distinguish him from Prowl (who I use Henkei for) I keep both the doors and the missile launchers folded down)

Blades: Universe 2.0 Blades

**Note** The following two were added after the pictures in my collection thread were taken, so unfortunately you won't find them there.
First Aid: Cybertron Red Alert (Deluxe)

Groove: Animated Samurai Prowl (This was the hardest of the group; unfortunately there are really only a few good motorcycle figures, none of which look anything remotely like Groove. I kind of see this incarnation as Groove, given his pacifist ways, taking an interest in the calm, honor and strict moral code of ancient samurai, modeling himself after it. Better than having no Groove, right?)

-Technobots-
Scattorshot: Energon Jetfire

Lightspeed: Universe Swerve

Strafe: Henkei Strafe

Nosecone: Armada Hoist (Since there's no modern-era drill tanks, I figured this "update" made sense. The colors work, too.)

Afterburner: Cybertron Ransack (Even though he's a Decepticon, it fits too well)
http://tfu.info/2005/Decepticon/Ransack/ransack.htm

**Decepticons**
-Constructicons-
**Unfortunately, I've yet to really find any decent versions of these guys. Since I use the G2 combiners on my Shattered Glass shelf, given their colors I count these two among them.**
SG Mixmaster: Universe 2.0 Heavy Load

SG Hook: 2007 Movie Mudflap

-Combaticons-
Onslaught: Universe 2.0 Onslaught

Blast-Off: Machine Wars Soundwave (Inspired by his recent, multiple tank incarnations)

Brawl: Cybertron Demolisher
http://tfu.info/2006/Decepticon/Demolis ... lishor.htm
Swindle: Animated Swindle

Vortex: Energon Cyclonus (Specifically for his alt mode when combined with the minicon)

-Stunticons-
Motormaster: Robots in Disguise Scourge

Breakdown: BotCon 2010 G2 Breakdown

Wildrider: Henkei Wildrider

Drag Strip: HTS Exclusive Drag Strip

Dead End: RotF Dead End

-Predacons-
Razorclaw: BotCon 2009 Razorclaw

-Breastforce-
Leozack: BotCon 2009 Leozack

Gaihawk: Toy Dreams Project Powerlinx Thrust

Hellbat: 2007 Movie Overcast

Killbison: RotF Blast Off

Jaruga: HftD Crankstart

Drillhorn: 2007 Movie Unreleased Gunbarrel (Another drill tank. For this, and to distinguish him from Killbison up there, I usually mount his weapon on the front in a claw-like position. That way, he can still function (maybe?) as a drill tank-like thing.)

So that's it. Any ideas, on anything I've shown or not shown?
