Seems I'm in the group that loves his bot mode. That jet mode is just laughable, and it even further makes me think he's based off Waspinator.

I'll be getting him, but he's never going in jet mode.

I have to agree. I have also really liked all of the BH figures so far minus this...thing and Soundwave. The colors are simply too horrendous. I think the biggest fault, color wise, is that brown...yuck! :SICK:

It's the same nasty color as the doo doo brown on Soundwave. I really hope these guys don't look like this on the show.

I was going to get the set of 4 from BBTS to save the hassle of hunting them down individually, but I really don't want this guy. I could try to sell him but I don't think I'll be able to make my money back. Besides, at least here in GA the BH distribution has been amazingly consistent at the TRU's around me. I've seen all of wave 1 several times and at several locations.

This will be the first time I've ever posted this before...I'm passing on this one. I usually just keep that to myself and only comment when I like something, but this really doesn't work for me. I only hope the rest of the Decepticons get better paint jobs or I'll only be picking up the Predacons (assuming the same blunder doesn't befall them as well). :HEADHURTS:

i had high hopes for the figure but those dreams have been murdered by these pictures.
SHEESH, thats a terrible fig.

And why cant this be skywarp or even thundercracker? starscream changed his colors from the usual white blue and red, so why cant they?(it would be weird but not impossible.)

Takara already gave us a Smokescreen as well and Hasbro one-upped them. People are allowed to hold out for a different kind of Skywarp or Thundercracker.

Seems like Hasbro isn't being very creative w/ the weapon names. Starscream is the 2nd Con to com w/ a Thunder Talon. The 1st being Soundwave. Different design, different function, so why not a different name?

It is a different name. The Thunder Talon was the working name for Soundwave's weapon, but in the end, it was the Talon Grapple Cannon.

Seeing as those pictures have him mistransformed I can see myself getting this figure and imagining him as an original Transformer. Just like with the Beast Hunters Bulkhead.

It's not awful because of the mold, necessarily. It might look okay in robot mode if it were properly transformed. It's the incredible clash and mix of colors that make it :SICK:

worthy in my opinion. Brown/bronze, lavender, red, black, yellow..... just such an ugly clash of non-complementary colors.

I get that Hasbro is trying to appeal to the Playskool crowd with all the bright colors in this line, but these colors aren't even complementary. At least Ripclaw's red and green, Soundwave's blue and yellow, etc don't clash. They look silly in some instances (and so do all the spikes and such), but they mesh together. Starscream's colors just do not go together at all.

And that jet mode is absolutely horrible. Looks like a pile of flying parts that look NOTHING like Starscream's jet mode.

Well yeah, there are already 3 molds for this particular iteration of the character, but at least they put the effort into making a new mold instead of remolding an existing one.

I haven't collected any Prime toys, but the BH series reeks of the end of the line. The original TF G1, GI Joe, Ghostbusters, TMNT, you name it, starts off grounded and relatable but mutates and loses itself with out-there designs and "extreme" color schemes before dying off shortly after.

They have two more seasons and in honesty it is a fresh look at the predacons and we might get dinobots next season may have combines you never know
