Let's just hope they make MORE DECEPTICONS.

He's not a Nissan 350Z. He's some mashup of a 350Z and some geek's idea of a pimped ride so they don't have to pay license fees to Nissan. When they pick on AgesThreeandUp for selling KO's they demand what they aren't interested in paying themselves. Hypocrites.

No chance of putting this on my shelf in car mode and anybody mistaking it for a real car model. That's the point of a transformer.

The gray wheels tell me they're plastic. Ugh.

Considering what Binaltechs are selling for on ebay, I view this direction as undeniably stupid.

I'd rather have a Sideswipe as a genuine licensed Lamborghini than whatever this thing is.

Takara and Hasbro are protecting their brand by dodging other company brands.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds for transformers universe since all we have seen is wave 1 of who knows how many there could be after all they have three season worth of the original show and however many toys they had during them to work with.

It was very difficult to get the car manufacturers to allow their licensed products to be Alternators/Binaltech figures. Several of them did not allow it.

In terms of this version of Prowl, it looks super close to looking like a 350Z....I see this type of vehicle every day. There are most likely some alternations so that it is not exact. But by looking at prototype, the level of detail on the figure is excellent. If they did the same thing as with the Alt/BT line, the Deluxe figures would be expensive.

I'm guessing that in the 80's, Takara and Hasbro didn't get permission and got away with it. I don't understand why manufacturers wouldn't allow it. That was the whole appeal to Transformers. Robots that transform into normal everyday objects and vehicles.

Still, I think they are doing a great job with the Classics.

It may matter to your average gearhead, but I'm sure most of us here couldn't care less whether the cars are 100% accurate. A car is a car, and as long as it looks nice, that should be good enough.

Besides which... how many ten year olds do you think are going to write a letter of complaint about their Sunstreaker not being a 100% accurate Lamborghini? #-o

Eh, it's just a matter of somebody finding something to complain about. If it doesn't meet his/her expectations 110%, then it's crap and Hasbro is a sell-out.

Outside of the Alternators line, when did Transformers really look like model cars in disguise? G1 may have had styling highly reminiscent of the cars they were modeled after, but the interiors clearly showed the arms, legs, and sometimes, even the head of the robot. There were no dashboards, no seats, or anything else that would make it truly look like a realistic car from 5 feet or closer.

I loved the Alternators line, but I don't expect that kind of realism with every TF line, nor do I want it. These new Classics have a good blend of realism with cartoonish nature to make them the fun toys I expect them to be.

Classics toy line is all about bring to life what we always loved, I mean G1 fans, during several years, I dreamed on seeing these guys the way they look now, I just can't wait when they hit the market. :APPLAUSE:

I like Prowl. He's close enough to 350Z. Just a bit of modification up front.

It's like a 350Z rip off. Without the license.

Everyone, stop buying Movie junk in the hope it will get Hasbro to advance the release date of Universe.

Not bothered about Blaster, though. Didn't care for it as Soundwave, and even less interested now it's got Blaster's colours and Soundwave's head.

I doubt that would change much. If they moved anything up in release date to compensate, I figure it'd be Animated.

Just saw the new colour pics of them and i must say they are so friggn amazing i just can't wait.
prowl is a MUST OF MUSTS!

It's a shame that they Effed up sunsreaker so badly. his alt is just so smooth and sleek, but the robot is just pathetic, looks like a roadbot.

They all look amazing in color. Powerlgide looks incredible with only the small touch of red here and there.
Sunstreaker is amazing.

I'll pass on Blaster, already have Soundwave, unless of course his transformable bomb partner is really cool, and not a repainted Laserbeak.

As for Heavy duty, I'm not even sure who he's supposed to be a homage to. Any ideas?

Both Blaster and Heavy Duty, are mis-transformed:
What's the deal with Heavy duty's arms, and Blaster's neck is of course hovering above his shoulders instead of being tucked in.
