That Cliffjumper is the bomb!! I really like the looks of that mold. I don't own it but Cliffjumper will change that.

Re: Official Images of Generations Cliffjumper, Skullgrin and Thunderwing
Wish Thunderwing was at least Voyager size, but here's hoping he's at least a big enough deluxe to look okay in the presence of Classics Megatron (an undersized Voyager) and Movie Bludgeon. IIRC he wasn't exactly gigantic in the Marvel comics anyways.
Cliffjumper I'm looking forward to; I missed out on the Classics version, and he's just one of those core characters you have to have.
Skullgrin... I love the character, but like the look of Straxus better, so I'll probably get both, which will unfortunately make them less unique, which for some reason bothers me.
Question... in artillery mode the Skullgrin/Darkmount mold can be 'manned' by another TF, right? So, are the proportions such that the mold can man itself?

We saw pics in someones (maybe Peaugh) review of the WFC BB head on Classics BB, so it should.
If that's the case, I will be buying Cliffjumper for the head.

out of all the recent generations pics these are the ones that have got me the least excited
i already have wfc bumblebee and i find him to be the worst tf i have bought since i bought tfa prime for my nephew (too stiff for a 6 yr old to transform). In this mold's case, the transformation is over complicated and the robot mode i ugly. Already have classics bb and cliffjumper which i find better toys.
skullgrin.. well i like the mold and will be purchasing darkmount shortly. As a rule i'm not a fan of repaints and well i had the original skullgrin and this toy is not reminding me neither of his shell nor of his robot forms
thunderwing i will prolly buy cos he'll make a nice addition though never a big fan of pretenders and i never read the comics to get into his character... though as a kid i did have him on my want list - the robot mode looks like a good homage but from that image the nose area appears to be molded and non detachable.. hope to be mistaken.

My personal prime collection so far in descending order of how great i reckon the toy is -
FE Prime, Silas Breakdown (Powerizer), Dreadwing (Powerizer), FE Bulkhead, Voyager StarScream (Powerizer), Ratchet, Soundwave, Arcee, Voyager Megatron (Powerizer), Wheeljack, Thundertron (Powerizer), Ultra Magnus (Powerizer), Knockout, Cliffjumper, Bumblebee,Airachnid

I really wish Hasbro would stop photoshopping their official pictures to that level. The final products never look like that.

I was excited for Thunderwing, but I must say I'm underwhelmed. Along with the non-transforming drone that should have been a Minicon, his alt mode is boring and bland. Will Takara actually be the ones to make a toy-accurate color scheme this time?

Re: Official Images of Generations Cliffjumper, Skullgrin and Thunderwing
Skullgrin is meant to be pink, isn't he? Anyway, I was considering getting him based on the head mold revealed previously, but seeing it all together in color, I'm just kinda meh. I don't care for the body, I don't know/care about the character, and the alt mode isn't cool enough to warrant a purchase on that alone. Pass.
CJ looks decent but I'll pass too, since I don't collect CJs.
Thunderwing, sure, why not? He's a little more organic than I usually care for, but it obviously fits his character, and I can deal. He was pretty badass in Stormbringer, not familiar with him in G1 but he'll be a Herald of Unicron in my fiction. He sort of fits the look.

I too am thinking of getting Cliffjumper just so I can give his head to his Classics version. That being said, I can imagine it looking a bit daft as it appears a little on the thin side. Will wait until I see it in person.
Skullgrin is a maybe. I love the Darkmount mold, but the repaint I personally don't think makes a whole lot of sense. Just another cash-in.
Thunderwing is a flat "no thank you." Everytime I looked at it, I'd just be thinking how half-arsed it was. It's not just the deluxe class size. I just don't think it looks particularly menacing, stuck as a hybrid between is true form and his shell.
All in all, high grade "meh."

I hope skullgrin IS pink, he is supposed to be.
I like all of these, Thunderwing is especially good, is he deluxe or voyager?
I hope he is voyager considering the size of Bludgeon.

Thunderwing is not a Seeker. He was Decepticon leader in the Marvel comics and a Matrix bearer to boot! His G1 toy was futuristic, so it makes sense.

I'm looking forward to all three of these toys. Is this the first time since 1984 that Cliffjumper got his own figure rather than being a Bumblebee repaint?

Nope. Even with a new head, he is still a repaint. Blurrz said it.

Re: Official Images of Generations Cliffjumper, Skullgrin and Thunderwing
The abominable Stormbringer has a lot too answer for.
Not only did it dilute Thunderwing from the fantastic, Matrix-bearing villain he was in Marvel, they ruined Pretenders with their crossing of shell with inner bot mode.
Now Hasbro have gotten into the trend of shell/bot mixing. First the terrible Movie Bludgeon, now Skullgrin!
They look as naff as the Star Wars TF's.
I always liked Skullgrin's inner robot and alt mode. This reimagining looks nothing like either. I wish Hasbro would stop homaging old characters with molds that look nothing like them and then painting them with the old character's colour scheme, saying Ta Daaa!
Fans have been criticizing Bay for the alien heads on the TF's but a giant slaggin' skull on a robot tank is acceptable? C'mon!
On the plus side, Thunderwing looks great.

Cliffjumper may just sway me into a purchase, prefer the colour scheme, looks like it hides the panel lines better.
Thunderwing is an instant buy. The original figure was the last TF i got as a kid, seriously good memories. Skullgrin looks better than Darkmount i think, may hold out for him too.
The film toyline will have to amaze me next year for me to favour it over generations. :O

Re: Official Images of Generations Cliffjumper, Skullgrin and Thunderwing
ok, it's not just the shiny paint. has Bay made me hate BB? That mold looks great in red, with the new head, shiny or not. Again, I'll suggest a Wasp repaint somewhere down the line. One way or another I'll quite possibly get Cliffjumper. And borrow some giant gun or other from some other toy for him to wield. Actually...my Requiem Blaster is currently in it's constituent parts, will he be able to hold it?
Skullgrin, well, the character does nothing for me, I wasn't that interested in Straxus, except for his head to put in a jar, so...pass. It does look pretty cool though, as a representation of that character.
Thunderwing looks pretty good, as a robot anyway. I'm not thrilled with the vehicle, but he'll hardly ever be in that mode any way. Might have been better a bit bigger and I'd have loved the quad-barrelled gun, but otherwise, not too shabby.
