Yesterday I found a MIB pre-TF Browning and immediately bought it. Alongside this thing of beauty I also bought an AM Airachnid, putting three decades of TF's into perspective in one haul.

Today I also had a similar moment, though not 30 years' worth. I recently bought a MISB MD-01 Megatron. It arrived today, and when I opened it, I had a very vivid flashback to 10 years ago when I bought my Armada Megatron and opened it. Made me look back on the last 10 years.

Got my TFs out of storage the other day and was greeted by that familiar *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *FFFFFFWWOOOOOOSHH* Jetfire-prime-overload was practically standing up in the box. Put him up on my shelf next to my recently aquired FE Optimus. The words out of my mouth in the side-by-side was, "Well Damn"

You know what? Feels like what happened in the Beastwars storyline, when Primal and the gang arrived in the past, they were like "downsized" for energon efficiency compared to their giant Autobot ancestors.

Compare the 1984 gang to the present crop..........makes you wonder whether the writers back then foresaw this........

And yeah, standards have indeed gone down what with FE Optimus being the "better" version of the current releases :lol:

The bricks have their place on my shelf, but my preference is always for better articulation and better proportions, something that G1 never had...at all...not even a little bit

We've come a long way. FE Prime... he's not that bad, actually. Yeah, there's pieces of crap like FOC Jazz, but it's not all bad.

I had a moment like this yesterday. We recently bought a new house. In this new house I have a finished basement, which is now used as my toy room. For the first time, my collection is displayed all together in one place. My mom came over and saw it for the first time. She was asking me the differences in the figures. I grabbed GDO Springer (since he was my latest purchase) and G1 Springer to show her. Wow, what a difference in those two figures. Even though the engineering and articulation has changed over the years, both figures still represent the same character rather well.

A geewun Springer is actually still a huge gaping hole in my collection. I couldn't say a word about the difference... I do own a GDO Springer, though. He alone doesn't put much into perspective.

I know that feel! my mom bought him off ebay for around 30 bucks! I also had the old camero bee too. Now your lucky to NOT see a bumblebee. I want there to be a line that comes out were bumblebee is rare, just because.

And FE OP is AWESOME. Just the two side by side, the sheer size, and weight of Armada Prime, in comparison, it was just amazing. Cybertron Prime too! Posability and accurate detail, yet weighty, a combiner, and not to mention his lovely 'CLICK' 'CLICK' 'CLICK'

Were's my 'CLICK' 'CLICK' Now? In Prime's Balljoints? I think not!
