with the last couple of movie lines weve seen a slight price increase and im wondering what were in store for with dotm. :???:
a few reasons why i ask.
1)pcc introduced the idea of a scout with accesory for $10
2)deluxes have gone from 10 to almost 15-16$ from tf1 to rotf
3)voyagers and leaders have gone up
sooo.. im thinking
scouts-10
deluxes-15
voyagers-25
ultra/ha-35
leaders-45/50
just a thought and yeah im aware the cost of matrials goes up all the time its just seeing all these meeehhtek weapons has me wondering not only about the figures but also the cost of all that extra plastic.
so what does everyone else think

With prices having just gone up for 2010 and Generations, I don't anticipate a price increase for DotM. Not to say it won't happen, but I don't expect it.

I don't think the price increases will be that dramatic. $15 for a deluxe? doubt it..The rest of the lines Iare already at their respective price points. HA figs in Texas are $32-$34, leaders can run upwards to $50( especially at TRU) Retailers like wal mart usually are good about keeping thie pices down but for the larger figs they seem to creep up little by little..

Just wait for sales to happen, I remember when Wal mart had thier deluxes for 9.00 and some even went down to 8.50..Pateince pays off when it comes to savin $$$$

I'm not sure where you live but my area has at least seen a slight decrease after the 2009-2010 price hike. Most deluxes are around $9.00 now, voyagers are back to $19.99, and leaders in some places are $39.00-$40.00. I don't see them going up terribly in the near future though.
Please note: If you think I may be joking, I probably am.

Don't think I'll care too much if the DOTM figs are double or half the current prices.

i remember when deluxes were 9.99. i think the only reason deluxes are 9.00 bucks now is that they are just sitting on the pegs. when rotf came out deluxes were 12.99

This is pretty much how my area has prices set. Target has the best prices ($9 Deluxes, $19.99 Voyager). Meijer is roughly $11.99/21.99 for Deluxe/Voyager, and Walmart is between $9-$11.95 for Deluxes and $19-$21.95 for Voyagers.

In all honesty, with how long I've been collecting (15 years this year) prices have remained fairly along the lines I listed above. To me the "Mega" ($15) class-size were slightly undersized voyagers for today's market, so an increase from a larger class taking over is expected ($15 became $20 with the Voyager class). Deluxes especially have been hovering around $10 for the last 15 years. Given the fact that costs have increased for lines like DC Universe Classics to the point that they've jumped fro $10 to $15 in a few years makes the TF lines relative price stability that much more appealing. I've stopped collecting DC Universe/Marvel Universe figures because I don't find the price increases justifiable for the product they're putting out.

With regards to PCC Scouts, the rational for the $10 price point is due to their mini-con accessory, and their increased playability with the purchase of drones to attach to them. If you buy Generations Drift, that's all he is, Drift. No further accessories can increase his playability (none HasTak makes, anyways. If someone buys a PCC, they have more options in what to do with it, and more products with which to add to it's playability.

So overall, with how prices have been (in my area, at least) I don't expect anything drastic in the price range of figures. It could happen, but I don't think the last 15 years, or the last 5 years indicate it will. Production costs have increased more so the last 5 years, but even then we haven't seen as drastic of an increase as other companies have been making. Here's hoping things stay that way.
Currently in need of: RID Rail Spike robot mode head (not Rail Racer's head); RID Midnight Express gun; RID Rapid Run missile; Animated Ultra Magnus' Hammer

Eastern Europe here: Retail prices haven't changed since TF1, even tho there have been two tax hikes (except for Leader class Brawl, which dropped from 60 Euro to 40 Euro Donkeys' years ago and is still there).
I'm guessing there'll be some kind of retail hike in the opening of summer.

That has been the case around me, too...but they're all going back up now so I'd expect that to happen aropund the country. The website for Target has gone back up as well.
