for this fight there are no alt modes and no weapons/special abilities. the reason for which is soundwave doesnt have a usable alt mode in combat, and brawns old style circuitry would be very vulnerable to soundaves special abilities.

both are very strong, and durable, brawn has taken on 2-3 seekers at once and made short work of them (divide and conquer i think), and soundwave has likewise manhandled the same number of autobots at once (more than meets the eye). id say brawn has a strength and agility advantage, but soundwave is bigger, so he has more leverage and a longer reach. brawn is likely to rush in and ignore tactics, and soundwave would probably think before acting.

no cassettes of course, who win?

I'm gonna say Soundwave.

As you mentioned in your post above, Brawn is more likely to start swingin' rather than devise some sort of tactical strategy. Soundwave will exploit this weakness and come away with the victory.

Brawn really is all brawn and no brains... But he's still cool!
