First of all, I want that megs... I'm conflicted on o/p, it reminds me of those re-scan movie figures, which is pretty cool, and the evidence is there that they put a lot of work into the deco (dat wind-vane tampo tho) Not sure I like the idea of th paint chipping, but maybe those are rejects. I will be keeping my eyes on this set - until it is inevitably priced to oblivion

First ting I thought when I saw this was, "Burning Megatron?!" and then, "I know who needs this". Was just kind of waiting to see your reaction. Who knows, It might go on sale. Just glad you like it!

There's something i dont understand though. The classics megs is not that expensive online (especially second hand). If anyone wants this set for megs simply because they dont have the mold yet, there are far cheaper options out there. And you woldnt have to wait for this set to come out.

We dont know that actually. Look at last year's platinums. They went on sale, but no crazy discounts. Nothign resembling a decent price, thats for sure. If this one gets discounted, it wont be less than 80-90$ and that is still a pathetic price for the amount of toy and deco you are getting here.

When I saw this price, I bought a used original for 40$. Better deco, better sound effects, less expensive.

I quite like the deco though, and I may still eBay prime and megs depending on prices

Because this deco looks F&%KING AMAZING, and that's really all that matters to me, I would only settle for lime green/cream megs for $10 at most.

Not necessarily, but certainly not below $50, which at that point, you should just be buying this set, as the deco on megs easily rivals any henkei version in sheer awesomeness, even the orange safety regulation blends in with the color palette

I like green/cream megs. Aside from this newly unveiled deco, that deco was the best for the alt mode and while the Takara decos worked better for the robot mode, the Hasbro version still served as a fun homage to Action Master Megatron.

I'm totally getting this pack, seeing as I have none of these figures... riiiiiiiiiight after it goes on clearance for 60ish

I should probably get this since the only Rod I have is the little CW one. No Junkions either. Seems like a solid boost to the collection. The only thing I don't like is Hot Rod's ugly gun, but that can be added to my pile of loose accessories, which can then serve as a nice junk pile for the badass bikers to stand around in. Everything has its place!

A off-white and pearl / chrome Gun Megatron would be nice to have if they ever decide to do Gun Megs again. as they usually make the guns chrome or a medium grey but the near white/grey tones of the Collectors Edition Deluxe Tank / the Actionmaster / the War for Cybertron Megatron or the Classics Gun are not quite as common colours as some and - yet still say Megatron to me and the colours feature else where too such as one some 3rd party toys or Botcon SG Megatron (or even on Energon Megatron).

I wouldn't mind a G1 colour G1 Megatron either if done tastefully by Takara.

I'm also not against the idea of G2 version of characters who never got them - say like a different colour for Perceptor or Blaster for example.

I'm sure some wouldn't mind some of the other reissues in G2 coloured either. Also why not make a G2 Soundwave and have him be Red like one of the the Korean toys was. Perhaps Blaster could be Silver or even Green and Perceptor blue. I like the idea of a medium or dark Blue Perceptor - that would look rather nice.

Not to mention G2 Omega Supreme or Sky Lynx would be fun too - heck if you want to get really crazy how about a G2 Fort Max or G2 Metroplex in gold.
