Amazing! You should have seen it!
My previously crappy target truely impressed my the other day. I walked into the store as a last resort looking to find the two new generations figures. Thinking that target was the very last place I was going to find them I was dead wrong.
I rounded the corner to see an entirely revised transformers section. HUGE!! Neatly done as well. All the different lines were seperated so neatly. In the nine pegs of generations figures there were a nice mix of scourge, cup, t.cracker, warpath, wheeljack, cyber megs, soundwave, cyber prime, cyber b.b and yes I even found my junk heap and sky shadow. There were actually a few left too!
The gen pegs looked great with all that variety! The last line I collected was the 2000 MOTU line and for anyone who dosent know, that line was HELL to collect. Forget about it. You had a better chance of hittin the powerball than finding a new or even mediocer figure in that line. Ebay prices were out of this world too.
Perhaps because that kind of line is what Im used to is why I was so stunned and am always stunned to find the new figures I am looking for without a massive three hour long search of the city. To see the wall looking so rich and full of variety was great.
Also there were a whole slew of new dotm target exclusive figures there as well. The same variety was there (variety I never see in the dotm line) including exclusive target bumble bee, arcee (which was comical. Truely a P.O.S. FIGURE imo.) and a kick ass target exclusive jazz figure. I have never seen a dotm jazz figure and there were only one of him there. I dont collect the dotm line but I was tempted to get him he looked so good.
All well. I just thought you guys would like to hear that story. I hope your stores are looking that good and that everyone can find those figures they need to fill out their collection.
If anyone would like for me to grab any of those up for them send me a p.m.
Take care all.

Sounds like a good time was had. The Target exclusive Jazz BTW, is the 2007 movie Jazz in a translucent smoky plastic.

I wish my Target revamped their stock xP The isle always seems to be a mess and pegs go vertually empty for weeks at a time.

The last time I experience something like that was when the ROTF line launched. I went to my local Walmart the day they put them out, and it was just a massive wall of brand-new figures. They had every figure, and like a dozen or more of each.

I don't even bother to check my local stores anymore. First wave of DOTM, and a few generations are considered 'new', Blurr only just got here a few months ago...

My Target and Walmart always have clear and organized shelves of TF stuff. TRU is OK, but it's a bit muddled because they have so much of everything.

Anyone wants to start a thread for pictures of the Transformers sections in their local TRU/Departmental stores?

At my local Walmart, in Québec, I was surprized to see Wheeljack, Warpath, Kup, AND Thundercraker on the pegs. They had lots of Wheeljacks and only one or two of the other ones. And they were 9$ each too. Also, Ultimate Optimus Prime at 50$!
Yeah, I bought all of them online before at insane price thinking they'll never come here. They are played with and displayed, of course. But at these prices, I bought one more of all of them to add to my MIB-MOC collection.

The MOTU Classics line is even worse! One day a month they sell a new figure on the website. It's starts at 9 in the morning and the 2 or 3 new figures they have each month sell out ususally before noon or at least by the end of the day. If you miss out then your paying out your ass scalper prices on Ebay. Such a goofy system.
I guess the theory behind this system is to ensure the figures instantly gain "collector" status and become a coveted and sought after item because of it's limited release ultimately making it "hard to get" or "rare"...... Crock a shite if you ask me.
Don't even get me started on the club membership debacle!
I still love em though. It's like a terrible relationship with an abusive GF who takes all your money but she's super hot.

Re: Amazing! You should have seen it!
LOL at monster grotesque. I feel your pain bro. That is exactly why I did not run to sign up when I heard they were doing an online collectors motu thing. I knew there would be problems.
MOTU collectors are of a different breed than the transformers fans. At least they were when I was a member of heman.org.
If mattel could fix the simple problems with that line there would be a great deal of money and happy fans.
Ill tell you something heman.org did do that was great though. They ran a thread that asked simply 'who would want a keldor figure?"
Those who answered yes were offered the chance to purchase a comic con exclusive keldor for twenty dollars. If you didnt answer you were outta luck.
There were many a whining member after that. They were pissed because they "didnt know it was forreal" andsimular responses.
FYI I answered yes and was able to buy that awesome figure. The four horseman did a bang up job on that line. Some didnt apreiciate it though saying that the figures werent "their motu" failing to see that there had to be some overhaul. If they only wanted their motu then just pull out your originals!! gee whiz!!

eBay prices are not so bad on most of these figures. Ordering from mattycollector.com (official site) is usually $20 plus $9 shipping. I often buy the same figure for about $32 shipped on eBay. Of course, that is ordering right around when the figures are released.

Re: Amazing! You should have seen it!
I usually preorder MOTUC from BBTS ahead of time, the markup is not that much. That way, if I happen to miss out during the sale I can always be guaranteed the figure. Granted I have NEVER missed a figure I wanted on Matty day but I like to have a fallback.

Yeah. I've recently looked on Ebay at the prices and they are not as harsh as they once were. Plus Seibertrons Ebay page has a bunch of MIB for sale too at a reasonable bro price.
I remember trying to get a Scarglow at a reasonable price. Took me a while but i got him MIB for a little under 40 plus shipping.
Just bought the new Demo-Man figure. I'm stoked to add him to the collection along with the new Skeletor head.

I'm not that well educated on He-man collecting. I did pick up the reissue He-man\Battlecat set years ago(wish I had gotten more of them), pretty sweet with the reissue box surrounding the reissue original packaging. Anyway, can someone tell me why Scareglow sells for a ridiculous amount of money?
