Yes, it was an intermediate series that lasted several years, having nearly sixty books with multiple one-shots or prequels.
The stand alone books were really good (especially "The Andalite Chronicles"). The series started out great, but eventually got a little repetitive, and I eventually lost interest.
I enjoyed the show, too.

NOT TFs.
But I enjoyed the books when I was a kid.

Both groups are sentient (more or less) robots, and they transform. One even shows up in the Universe comics. But they're canonically from a different planet (Gobo...fro...tron?) so even if they're transformers they're not Cybertronians.thedistinctroom wrote:Thanks everyone. I just downloaded a torrent of the entire series and in the first episode, some kids are playing a Beast Wars video game that I have never seen before.![]()
What about TF Gobots and Playskool TF's? Are they Transformers? Some of these TF offshoot lines are quite confusing hehe.

Hasbro and Takara are the final say on what is and is not a TF. Crossovers, Star Wars, and Disney Label are TFs that transform ... Action Masters are TFs that don't transform ...
Animorphs are TFs. Because Hasbro put them under the TF banner. They shouldn't be, but they are.
