Anyone Have RTS Legends?
- Weapon: X-Ray Laser Cannon
I am getting the feeling I might commit an impulse buy.
I keep seeing pics of the RTS legends class Prime, Megatron, Goldbug, Prowl, Skidmark Sal (Trail youknowwho....name changed to avoid lawyers who drive Mercedes), and Starscream. Anyone have these and can testify if they are worth the cash? I'm not really interested in Prowl, Goldbug, or Prime, and Starscream is ok, but the Megatron one is tits! I mean, it is a gun! In 2011 a toy that can become a gun again (weeping).....And who couldn't use a Skidmark? We have not seen another version of Sal since the 80's! Now, only if Hasbro would deluxe size him.....
It is a well known fact I love rubsigns. But I hate legends class (except for Wheelie). So, I figured I could buy them for my sons to keep them away from my collection. But, I could sneak away every now and then and transform Megatron, pretend i am a sheriff arresting my neighbors at 10pm for watching Growing Pains reruns on Nick at Night. Then get tazed by the police........
But I digress. Please, anyone have these and will give your op?

I got Megs, Prime, and Screamer. They are AWESOME. I got mine at a little shop that's more of the guy's hobby. There was no way I was gonna let such a G1ish Megatron get away from me.
Buy them. Buy them with all your heart, man!

I think I'm right in saying that the Legends Megs can be wielded by most MP figs, if that sways it for you?

I never though about that! I was more thinking of me wielding it pinced between my index finger and thumb. Telling my neighbors to reach for the sky....
I am still on the fence!! I love them, but I hate legends figures! Please sway me....for the sake of the rubsigns!!

Re: Anyone Have RTS Legends?
Definitely worth getting. I have Goldbug, OP, Megatron, and Starscream. I like all of them. Megatron IS the best of the bunch, but I wouldn't pass on the others if I were you.
Legends are great figures for fiddling with when you're bored, during commercial breaks when watching TV, etc. I keep a couple on my desk at work, and a couple on the end table at home.

If you hate Legends figures, I can't recommend picking any of the others up. But you HAVE to get Megatron. Seriously, I consider this little guy to be the greatest Megatron figure ever made.
Get him! Now!
Get him! Now!

I have Legends Prime, Megatron and Starscream, and I can easily say that Megs rule big time (that is, if you don't mind the orange tip. I don't). Yes, Megatron can be held by MP Starscream, but it's more of a "open hand, then slide in the gun" kinda thing.
Prime is also excellent, emulates the G1 transformation with the additional (and nowadays obligatory) twisting of the midsection. One minor point is that the front wheels hang off his wrists.
Starscream is really one for the fans. Transformation is creative and it takes a bit of a creative viewpoint to really appreciate him.

I got mine from Hasbro Toy Shop, I have yet to see them at retail.
I like them a lot. Megatron is my first Megatron gun-former. He's not perfect, with an oversized grip and odd gaps and robokibble in alt mode, but he's Megatron, come on. RTS Lugnut can hold him too.
Prime has the whole fake chest going on, and his real windshield and grill on his back, but he's nice enough. Starscream is great, complete with null rays in robot mode, which unfortunately hide away as part of the fuselage in alt mode.
I'll be selling Goldbug, I have the original mold already. Still MOSC, too...

I have only Megatron from above. He is AWESOME, and maybe the best G1 Megs homage! (including MP Megs! - legends Megs has much better leg-detail) I can't wait for a third party to make a silencer&the other stuff for him.

I have Megs, Starscream, and Trailcutter (blech name), all ordered from BBTS.
TrailBREAKER is amazing in that he keeps the basic overall transform from the original toy yet looks like the cartoon version, but has vaguely mediocre articulation even for a Legend.
Starscream has kind of a reversed transform from the original and Classics versions, and "standard" Legends articulation (balljoint hips and knees, balljoint shoulders), but looks EXCELLENT. The nosecone can also be posed on top of the head for any who want to mod this little guy into Thrust, Dirge, or Ramjet. His jet mode has a few problems viewed from underneath, but nothing significant.
Megatron... like others have said, despite being so small, this is possibly the best representation of G1 Megatron we've gotten to date that can actually transform. I can actually see it being possible to make a Voyager sized variant of this mold that includes arm articulation. Oh, and he has roughly the same articulation as Starscream.
I do not have Prime or any of the rest, but if they are all on par with these three, they're definitely worth the dough.

Anyone have pics of Megs being wielded by MPs? Megs' handle seems entirely too wide to be held...
Anyhow, these are pretty awesome. I'm not much of a legends fan, but these are quite nice little figures. And a metallic silver sharpie matches the Megs' paint perfectly. Covered that horrid orange tip like a charm!

Do you have any pics? I've got some silver sharpies, but don't want to mess with things without seeing how it comes out first.

I think I might have to get these! I just got a full set of Classics minicons and I love the simple transformations! I will sleep on it and decide tomorrow, but I think you all might have swayed me to purchase. Thanks!!

It is ridiculous. If this toy needs an orange tip, then why don't they paint orange tips on every action figure's gun? Other Transformers, GI Joes, generic army men... they should ALL have orange tips if a cop can't tell the difference between a 2-inch toy and a real gun.

It's a little tricky but it works:
Megatron and Lugnut discuss their relationship:
"I am your lowly humble servant, Lord Megatron, and not worthy to wield you in battle."
"JUST PULL MY TRIGGER YOU KISS-ASS!!"

As funny as it may sound, real guns do come in such a small size I believe.

Yeah, I have them as well, and it surely won't fit in their hands 'the old fashioned way'...but I've seen more than one reference to it supposedly being doable so I didn't know if there was some trick where it would kinda/sorta work if you did xyz. Like maybe clip to the arm somehow with those two pegs on the one side of the handle in alt mode...

MP Starscream uses the tabs and the slot on Legends Meg's gun mode. Take Screamer's right hand, stretch out the fingers and slide them between the two tabs, the thumb fits into the small slot.
