Beast Wars pt 3

Postby Slumble B » Mon Aug 13, 2007 5:15 pm

The other thread had grown to like 5 or so page so I thought a new thread would be in order.

My Optimus Primal arrived in the mail from Toywiz today and man am I ever the happiest Beast Wars fan alive right now! I am in love with this toy. The packaging was beautiful and tho it opens at a weird angle I still managed to get Primal out without tearing the box.

He came with a sweet trading card with all of his stats on his back, a nice poster with all the other BW toys for the series, a BW DVD and a DVD case. Pretty spiffy extras when you just wanted the TF itself. Plus the art on the back of the box is not bad either.

The toy itself is awesome. His gorilla mode is not bad looking, but not the best beast mode I've seen either. His transformation is fun, simple, and very show accurate. Primal's bot mode is pretty flawless, it seems very show accurate to me. And damn this monkey is carrying some fire power. He has his swords (??), blasters that come out of his wrists, and of course his shoulder cannons. What you got Megatron? ;)

I have very few complaints with Primal himself. Size is my biggest issue, but thats nothing against the toy, I just want a bigger Primal. lol. Second being that instead of his swords fitting into his hands, his hands are open and there are pegs on the sword that fit into his hands. I would much rather have the circle hands with the swords fitting right in them. Finally, I would've liked a darker shade of purple on his lips. lol. Those are my only complaints. Primal is fun, simple, and effective. Thats all I want in a TF. And his firepower kicks major ass.

In fact, I'm going to go buy Rhinox off of BBTS right now. If you guys don't have Takara 10th Primal, go buy him. NOW.

Sorry about the crappy pics, they were taken with my camera phone.

He had swords/whatevers in the first season, though he didn't use them much (First Season, Second Episode comes to mind.) If that what your ??ing. Congrats on getting it too :D

I keep looking through BBTS and seeing alot of figures that I'd like to get. But I'm not sure as to either A) Getting a Credit Card or B)Using Paypal as a means of buying online.

Btw, which Cheetor is the best to get, out of all his BW incarnations?

Transmetal II Cheetor. It's wicked awesome.

Beats the rest of those other Cheetors by far.

Regular Beast Wars Cheetor looks like a Cat rather than a Cheetah, while Transmetal I looks more like a Jaguar.

I would go with the original incarnation of Cheetor or transmetal Cheetor. Then again, I'm not quite up to the BW episodes with transmetal II Cheetor.

Above all else, I'd go with the original Cheetor. He's just plain awesome.

TM Cheetor is the best cat to get.

Although the 10th anniversary figure is also pretty fun, the fact that his bladder gun shoots water is a nice extra!

If you want a bigger Prime, get Optimal Optimus! :P

Weapon: Turret Gun
If your impressed with that rendition of optimus primal try the robotmasters incarnation of leo convoy.
Really show accurate (head is more accurate than his larger incarnation) great poseability and armed to the teeth with multiple weapon configurations
Looks great next to the optimus primal you have there too as its in the same scale

Do you by any chance have any pics of Lio Convoy? I'm very interested in him now that you've mentioned him.

Oh yeah and the more I play with Primal the more I love him. He's playability and posability are beyond my expectations. I can't wait for Rhinox to join him.

BTW, I believe that thing Takara 10th Rhinox is holding in his right hand is supposed to his chain gun. It just doesn't look very good, lol.

This thread fell down to page three so I felt the need to bump her right back up.

What Beast Wars TF is everyone planning on purchasing next?

I ordered Takara 10th Rhinox from BBTS yesterday and I'm going to order Robot Masters Leo Prime tomorrow.

How about you guys?

I was planning to get the 10th ann primal but decided nott too. I was able to get a perfect condition original primal with everything for $15 with shipping so I was pretty happy with that. He came with the little card, japanese brochure with the original toys. The guy that I bought it from kept everything in perfect condition, I mean the card and the instructions and the brochure were all in baggies. Primal rocks as a toy, the only annoying thing that I have about him is that the arm gimmick where he does the chest beating or the arm swinging with the little lever in the back is annoying. Does the 10th ann. have that?

whoa bolt, been out of the forums the past day or so, been busy and such.

congrats on the RM prime! it really is the best primal out there (well, at least until i actually lay hands on the ultra-class 10th anni primal :P ) very show accurate and is to scale with the other figs. i'm hoping that this version of RM primal will be released in the hobby stores in the country soon.

just won a $60 auction on eBay, assorted beast wars lot of figures. guess who's in it? RATTRAP, loose but COMPLETE. hahaha.

hell to pay for shipping though, an extra $30 to ship out to our country. came from UK, seller says 4 weeks max if he ships it on saturday.

man, it's gonna be an agonizingly long month! 8)

So your not gonna tell us what else was in the lot? :(
I hope Rattrap is in good condition, those basic ones can break pretty easily with the plastic gears (or maybe not?)

I hope to visit Ages three and up on vacation for some sweet BW toy getting action. That is if I can survive the 10 hour drive!

If I were you, I wouldn't espouse the wonders of TM2 Cheetor when your main points against the others are that they don't look quite like cheetahs. /:)

TM2 looks like a mutant cyborg hyena with a Quasimodo complex... :?

I am incredibly jealous of you right now, but thanks for the PM tip, my friend! I'm going to shoot you one back in a couple mins.

But c'mon my friend, lets hear what other goodies you got from the lot!

I've lucked out as well and found a couple of auctions for loose, but complete Rattraps. I've given up on finding a MOC one because it will cost me an arm and a leg.

I think zemps is holdin out on us till the shock of his Rattrap dies down, then he'll hit with something in that lot thats more amazing, lol.

The only thing that sucks about collecting Beast Wars TFs is that there are none in stores, ever. It's an online collecting hobby only.

Haha, very very ironic.

I still like the original Cheetor the best, but TM1 Cheetor is growing on me very quickly. I'm such a huge fan of all season 1 incarnations tho. The transmetals are ok, but not nearly as cool to me as the originals.

Another thing I love about the Primal I got is that all of his weapons fit into his transformation. There isn't anything to be left out to get lost. Thats awesome. With TFs like movie Wreckage and Bumble Bee their weapons don't fit into their alt modes so they have to be let out.

Oh yeah and I just watced Code of a Hero (second time) and Transmutate from season 2 last night. Two back-to-back tear jerking episodes. Man, Beast Wars ruled everthing back in the day.

hahaha, well, it's got among others, TM1 & TM2 cheetor and TM rhinox. the seller describes 'em also as C8 quality, and the pics look very satisfactory. for these BW figs alone i figure the $60 is money well spent.

plus a TM rattrap, though c7 with paint flaking, must be the vac metal chipping off. but complete and playable.

and a few others as well, i think he threw in at least 3 other BW figs, though he has not specified if they came with weapons or not.

all in all, a pretty sweet deal. not bad for $60, LOL. the only PITA's the $30 shipping plus the fact that it's almost going to be a month until i receive the lot! 8)

I think I'll be picking up TM1 Cheetor. He looks fairly show acurate and more poseable in beast mode than Season 1 Cheetor (That and I already have Tigertron, so the difference is nice.) Now to actually find him, most places are sold out hehe. Thanks for the help guys.

The only sad part about transmetal figures is the crome (?) wear. Thankfully the ones I do have don't have very much damage, and they have been pretty played with.

After owning two Wreckages (I accidentally melted one), the blades do fit in the alt mode in their "Holsters"

I finally found my BW Terrorsaur toy (actually my first TF toy too!), I thought I lost a foot and the gun but it was complete so I'm pretty happy about that. :D

I'm looking around for a cheap Optimus Primal or TM1 Cheetor at the moment.

Within the past month I bought Silverbolt, Quickstrike, TM2 Black Arachnia, Inferno and Waspinator though. I hate waiting for mail. :(

I just bought BW Lio COnvoy and Big COnvoy, can't wait to get them. I was going to get Robotmasters lio convoy (because of that nice looking head) but he looked smaller then my 10th anniversary TRU Primal, so i got the bigger one. Still looking forward to big convoy though, oh my god hurry up!!!

I really like the look of TM1 Cheetor. He has a great look and is very show accurate right down to his TM shine. I plan to own both him, Season 1 Cheetor, and Tigatron (lol I just want all of the BW figs).

Good luck to you in finding him. Let us all know how it goes. I haven't quite gotten to Cheetor yet, so I haven't searched all over and thus, am no help to you.

Hmmm, my bad about the Wreckage thing. I guess I haven't fooled around with him enough to see that. I just figured that since he blades were packaged separately that they didn't fit into his alt mode.

How is the quality of Terrorsaur? And have any pics of him?

Where did you end up finding up Silverbolt and the rest? eBay or through other online means?

I have my eyes on the RM Lio Convoy myself. From what I've been told, he is on the same scale as the Takara 10th Primal I just received.

Also I like the RM version when compared to his bigger version. The Robot Masters looks smaller and more detailed. Where did you pick-up Big Convoy from?
