Better pics up of the Animated Toys
I'm kind of glad that so many of you dislike these figures and have no interest in getting any of them -- it means that kids (and big kids like me!) will be able to get their hands on them without having to camp out at Target and/or pay exorbitant scalper fees on eBay.

I hadn't thought of this. Starting now no further effort should be made to convert the ignorant.

The more I look at these, the more I think I'll try and get them all...
Whether or not I like or ever watch the cartoon,
stylistically, I think these are so awesome.
Both modes are on point.
It's strange to think that I'll put the breaks on getting more pieces/equipment for my drumkit,
but these look too good to pass up.
Who knows, I may go crazy and get two of each.

i think the toys are gonna be okay, not good, but just okay. as for the cartoon, i dont know. im just not feeling the "animated" style in gneral, they are just too "happy" and "curvy." they look more like humans than robots
, which, in imo, is not a good thing. personally, nothing of the animated has WOWed me. it looks like hasbro is just creating the animated to keep up with the times, since thats how all the other hit cartoons of this generation are; teen titans, jla, ben 10, batman animated, etc., etc. but hey, who knows.... it hasnt been released yet so i cant say much.

I think he would look awsome in a G1 Paitn job, but then if they did that right from the get go how would the sell the same figure again in wave 8

I love these figures, especially Bumblebee, Earth Optimus (the prototype), Prowl, Starscream, and Soundwave.

the way people are getting desperate for new TF right now with the missing movie figs you can bet the same love will be felt once the animation stuff is out. i still dont think the movie figs on the whole are great but I totally appreciate the variation in the TF lines we now have/will be getting ie movie/allspark/real gear/animated/classics 2/still a few classics 1, a few alternators here and there. I'm so glad the trilogy is out the way, I started to get really sick of the same often quite ugly bots style, a handful of ok toys but quite forgettable for the most part. Even people who HATE the animation toys can probably tell you whos who already!

I'd like a set of Lego Duplo bricks with mine... Geesh... These things stink! I would have been impressed had they gone along the lines of the Alternator line.
The one thing that was truly unique about the Transformers was that they were everyday vehicles that we all saw on the streets and in the skies. Something that was lost with the newer generation Transformers series.
Since this "new" series is supposedly an updated retelling of the original, using modern day vehicles would've been a better idea...
The front page news is "this sucks".

Spectacular Spider-man is a better written, better animated show and has a better theme song... Hands down!

I remember really hating the look of the movie toys and the movie it's self. I'll wait and see how these look in person before i really judge.

Another line I'm most impressed with. I'm actually looking forward to the cartoon and toys for this one, it will be a refreshing change.

You know, I completely agree. I think it's starting to pan out to be a good run.
