Tidal Wave: They've already released an Armada-style Autobot with Hotshot and his Mini-Con Jolt, so why not release a Decepticon from the same line, and why not make it the giant one? The problem here would be that if Hasbro/Takara were to release an updated Tidal Wave figure, he wouldn't be as tall as I would prefer (that being, HUGE). Seeing as how the only Supreme sized figures they released for this line were Unicron and Primus, and that all the other figures never got any bigger than Ultra, it may come to be that, should this figure be released, he wouldn't be as large as I would like, but I could always hope. Possible repaint for this figure could be Broadside! In the cartoon and comics Broadside was always a large character, AND he was a big aircraft carrier, so it would make perfect sense to use a repaint of the updated Tidal Wave as his new form as well!
Blitzwing: We have Astrotrain, so where the hell is Blitzwing? I want Blitzwing! I know Hasbro has had a hell of a time trying to get a tank to fit into a jet, but I'm sure we could all agree that it's not an easy task anyway! They don't have to get it perfect so long as they get something! He could even have those clip-on weapons like a sword, missile launchers, a rifle, things like that! Hell, if they want they could incorporate a head switching feature and tie him in with Animated Blitzwing! I don't care I just want a new Blitzwing figure! GIMME! Possible repaints could only be Slamdance! He's a jet, and a tank, and a robot! It'd be kinda pointless to make him as two cassette bots right now so why not make him a triple changer instead? This mold would be perfect for it!
Insecticons: We've got a 3rd party group of HOS Insecticons coming in the form of a bug-train, and we have the various little insect-like figures that came out since after BW, but we have no true Insecticons! As some of the most iconic characters from the Transformers, I honestly thought they would have been done by now. Of course my thoughts are a little bias as they were always my favorites when I was a kid (Second to Devastator). I currently possess two of the three (lost Bombshell), so this idea tickles me in funny places that I enjoy. To sweeten it they could make them Scout sized! That would be perfect for them and it would make getting them (and a few extras for Insecticlones) simple and affordable. Possible repaint for these guys could simply be Barrage, Chop-Shop, and Ransack. A quick head change and colour swap and presto! Three new Insecticons! Sadly, this would leave Venom out but I'm sure a 3rd party producer will think of something. Besides, what the hell else would you repaint them as?
Jihaxus: Hasbro/Takara says they're going to be getting into more obscure characters and less known areas of Transformers for their new classics/generations/rts line, and this guy fits right in! When it was announced some time ago that Hasbro would produce more toys based on less known or obscure characters, my first thought was "Straxus!" and lo it became so, albeit with the name Darkmount which didn't make sense to me but it's still him. The second name that came to mind was Jihaxus! My first prediction came to pass, will my second? I hope so, because unless it does then all I can hope for is the repaint of BM Jetstorm. Bah. Possible repaints for this figure..... I dunno
Fortress Maximus: He wouldn't need to be huge, just Ultra size, turns into an APC maybe, that can then fold out into a base. It could work out. I like the design for him in the current comics, being a big bulky dude with tank treads around him. It would translate well into a new toyline! Honestly I would prefer Metroplex, but I don't think Hasbro currently has the ability to make him as large as I would demand him to be made. Fortress Maximus however is depicted in a more sane size in the comics and he's a pretty bad ass character himself. Yeah I know I got some weak reasoning to this one, to be honest I just think it would be effing awesome. Possible repaint.... to be honest, this one would be a stretch and it would require MUCH more than just a repaint and head sculpt. Scorponok. It could work out! Look at how Tracks and Sideswipe were made. They had parts of them that made it easy to imagine and convert them into Wheeljack and Sunstreaker, so they could easily do the same with Fort Max, fold some claws out or make them part of his armor, a flip out tail section. Like I said, it would be a stretch but I'm sure it's doable.
So that's my own top five figures I would like to see as future releases. I'm sure you could all agree with me on these as well as the possible repaints/retools for some of them, if not then say something! Reply, post, argue, discuss! This is an open forum! Say something!
