Do you mix your TF lines?
I have to say, there have been a lot of TFs as of late that fit nicely with G1 or other lines not their own.
Take these examples:
Classics Jetfire looks great next the G1 Autobots
G1 Jetfire fits in quite nicely next to Magnus and rest of the movie 'bots.
Classics Bumblebee is the perfect size be placed along Alternators.
Armada Red Alert makes a great Alternator too.
What 'Bots do you mix and match?

All of my colection is mixed since it's not that big it wouldn't make sence to seperate them.

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

Mine are mixed from hell to breakfast; we've got movies mingling with Alts. Armadas with titaniums, and classics with Cybertrons...the upside is my collection in only about 30 or so, so it makes no sense to split the party up, as Dead Metal said.

I have found a number of good fill-ins that I mix with my Classics line.
Botcon 2005 Ironhide
Botcon 2005 Ratchet
Superlink Wheeljack

I have no problem with mixing lines and figures, but I have found that keeping similar lines together looks better than merging everything. And because Im weird and like to organise things in certain ways, I have segregated my collection.
I have a smaller area/shelf for Beast Wars, G1, and my Turbomasters/Predators, Movie, Alternators and Minicons, and the largest area for the A/E/C/Classics figures.
Id probably separate them further, even into Autobot and Decepticon, but I have series display space issues.

Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

Till all are one, eh?
I only have 4 movie figures, one RiD Prime, two Beast Machines & tons of Beast Wars so I WOULD display them all together, but I'm currently 17 & so I don't move out of my parents house for another year... So I have all my transformers, along with DVD's, Playstation games, manga, comics, & other stuff, all cramped in boxes in my small, over cluttered room.
I've noticed that the Beast Machines Jetstorm, BW Transmetal Rattrap & RiD Prime (armour mode) actually look really good with the movie figures I have.

For example, I consider RiD/CR's Autobot Brothers to be a part of the 1984-86 Autobot Cars, given that all 3 (or 6) are size-consistent with Hot Rod, Kup, and Blurr (not to mention the Targetmasters, Headmaster Jrs., and Powermasters).
I have both Classics and G1 Jetfire, but tend to use the classics version based on scale in robot mode and his head's Skyfire features (and the fact that classics Jetfire hasn't yellowed!)
Cybertron Downshift runs alongside my Autobot Cars team, but is also compatible with Armada's Mini-Cons and once repainted into General Lee, will occasionally use Arcee's energon crossbow.
I refer to Team Shinkansen (J-4, J-5, and Rapid Run) as the Railrobots (see my HMW Team for details). They are so similar to G1 Autobots in design that it makes more sense to view Railracer as the 4th Autobot gestalt and pit him against Devastator or Piranhacon. Incidentally, they are just as tall as and can hold Rodimus Prime's Photon Eliminator.
I forgot to add that if I learn that a later series TF can hold weapons from an older one (without stress), I have no problem letting them do so. Such as Build Team Autobots Wedge and Build Cyclone wield G1 Optimus Prime's type 1 rifle. I actually bought Energon Rodimus in order to give his rifle/launcher to Cybertron Override.

Yeah. Superlink Wheeljack was born to be a Classic. (As are BC Ironhide and Ratchet- but I didn't make it to Botcon until the following year!)

All of my Optimi are on two 4' across shelves but spilling onto a third. Megatrons have a shelf. Next Rods, Magni, Nemes, and Galvas. Then Seekers, Dinos, Waves (both sound and shock) and War Within. All of my upper shelves are mixed but mostly by character. Alts aren't mixed b/c the Masterpieces are on their character shelves but I count them as conjoined lines.
My Classics shelf has Pipes (C Armorhide), Wheeljack (E Downshift), Arcee (Energon), Shockwave (E Shock... whatever) plus kitbashes and others. Not to mention the Titaniums throughout. But Classics was made to be a mix & match line. Why no Wheeljack? They made Downshift. No Soundwave? Between Cybertron, Titaniums and Music Label, we're covered.
The only line I don't mix is Beast Wars. That shelves broken down by season and introduction order. Though if I had the Dawn of Future Past, they'd count as BW figures but get their own smaller shelf somewhere.
Sometimes the only way to complete a set is to mix your collection, at least a bit.

I have entire room for my TFs so I have the luxury of space to have plenty of shelves for my collection.
However I've mixed my Universe figures with the line that the mold came from. My two Masterpiece figs are with my Alts. I kept the Classics Devastator with my Classics. The Sam's club Energon Prowl & Screamer are with my Armada figs. Universe Ruination is with RID figures and RID Ruination is with my G1 Decepticons. Ahh, you all get the point.

Collection Count: Just enough G1 & Classics to make this look good!

I like to display my toys in battle diplays, like this....

So yeah i like to mix my toys, so long as the scale and level of articulation are similar

Even as a kid I was super anal about how I organized my TFs, different series never co-habitated with each other. Right now, I have all my BT/Alternators displayed together at work, my MP's together on my desk and all my other G1 and RID bots packed away at home waiting patiently for display.
