DOTM prices in Europe !

Postby Xterminator » Thu Jun 23, 2011 8:08 am

Hello everybody,

I'm a fellow collector living in the Netherlands, and I'm a bit disappointed with the DOTM prices here.
The normal DOTM retail price in Holland is about Euro$ 20 for a Deluxe, and Euro$ 70 for a Leader Class toy ( I do not remember the price for Voyager toys).

I was wondering what are the normal retail prices in the nearby countries, specially in Belgium, Germany, France and the UK.
Who knows ? If the prices are attractive, I may go toy-hunting abroad :-)

Thanks in advance for the info ...

RRP for a deluxe here is £13, Voyagers are £23 and Leaders £50.

Retailers often get quite competitive, especially the big supermarkets so you can often knock £2-3 pounds off, if you shop around.

Hope that helps.

Weapon: Reciprocating Laser Cannon
In Hungary, it depends heavily on the chain where you buy them, the range is:
Deluxe: 18-21 Euro
Cyberverse commander/HA Basic/Gravity bots: 12-15,5 Euro
Leader: 48-70 Euro
Voyager: 31-40

The cheapest retailer is Cora, the most expensive is Regio here.

Thanks !

Germany has the same prices as the Netherlands. Except if you find a Real, which often has cheaper prices for a while, currently the prices are all cheaper by like 2 euros.

That's sad :-) I was planning to visit CentrO to hunt for DOTM toys the coming weeks, but the price difference is too small to justify it.

Meanwhile, in the USA HFTD Leader Class Starscream can be bought for as low as US$ 20. That's so unfair ...

Import them from the USA... Even with shipping, it's going to be cheaper to buy a couple online and have them sent over, than buying locally. Even if the combined price is high enough to warrant extra customs duties, it's actually still cheaper. Sad but true...

This. And add to the pool that the american version have bios on them, not one joke line translated to 16 languages.

Since I imported Costco exclusive HFTD Battle Ops Bumble Bee January this year, I'm a bit traumatized with the Dutch customs:-)

On top of the toy price, I paid US$40 shipping fees + Euro$ 25 of import taxes. As a result, the total price was almost the typical price of most European on-line shops.

I generally work on the basis for importing that my total cost shouldn't be more than a couple of quid over what the item would cost me locally.

It hasnt failed me yet!

Euro and especially UK customers should check out Kapow toys, a very good UK based specialist retailer for both domestic and import toys.

Amazing ! While Kapow-Toys charges GBP 8.50 to deliver items in Continental Europe, TheToyShop charges GBP 35 !

With such outrageous shipping fees the GBP25 Leader Starscream ends up costing GBP 60 !
I think I will wait another opportunity to get him ... :-(

You could go and ask a Brit to get it for you and then send it over to you.

Where are you? Leaders are 40-45 in the south east. Argos (national chain) has leaders for 40, although currently they're offering 10% off:
