I agree that the reissue would have been stunning if it was coloured more like Energon Galvatron. I'd say buy him, however a few people in the past have mentioned that finding his arm-cannon mount can be quite hard, so probably best to check that's there.

Do not buy G1 Galvatron without the Arm Cannon, the Y piece and the part that connects the arm cannon to the arm. He is worthless without those, not worth more than 10 bucks.

The arm cannon alone goes on ebay for 30 bucks, witht he other 2 pieces at 5-10 each. lso, make sure the electronics work.

I'd also think about the Ehobby one. The sounds are much more fun, and he yells at you in Japanese, which is priceless.

Yes, the bit that connects the cannon to the arm, that's the piece I meant. Not sure which Y piece you are referring to, though, Bonger.

One minor gripe I have with G1 Galvatron is that when he is transformed into cannon mode there's nowhere to put his arm-cannon mount. I don't like having extra bits. Still, a ripper toy if he has all his bits.

The Y piece that snaps in under his waist when in bot mode.

I've never looked, to be honest. The point is sound, though: don't buy Galvatron if he is missing this part unless you want to hunt for it.
