g1 optimus
my g1 optimus' shoulder symbol stickers won't stay on because of the bumps of the shoulders. am i doing something wrong?

Are they the original stickers ? If so they are probably just wearing out like most of them do just remove them and clean off the excess sticky residue with a very small amount of adhesive remover (make sure it's ok to use on plastic!) and get some new stickers from reprolabels.com

I'd dab a bit of super glue and stick it on, usually works.
Or, us a dull point to rub it into the bumps.

I took an Exacto knife to the rivets on my Reissue Optimus Prime's shoulders so the sticker'd lie flush... If you do that, just remove the ones underneath the Autobot insignia, there's no point in removing any more than necessary.

Yeah, if glue fail don't bother, just say you wanted to preserve it's serenty..er...something like that.

... Personally I'd leave it. Stickers aren't all that important to me, and if it won't go on, so be it.
