Did they say this AFTER putting out ROTF Devastator and the PCC figs? Those are all FAR from perfect. Unless their goal was lame...in that case they nailed it!

I gotta agree here. Plus I agree with the others who have doubts about the TFC Deva. That's a lot of cash to put down........

I will be getting the TFC Devastator because I hope it will be an amazing figure. Assuming it is, the only problem with it on "my classics shelf" is that it will tower over the other combiners Bruticus and Superion - therefore making it out of place.

Here is my current plan: Encore reissue for G1, my current G1 with all CrazyDevy parts for Classics, and this huge TFC version for one kick-ass battle display.

i think they came close with energon. if they can do the limbs better it might work, and the two bot energon combos can be reworked into a nice devy torso

repaints of an energon toy certainly isn't the same as getting their own classics type treatment.
I really would love to see hasbro make a new full sized combiner. Individual robot modes for the limbs and such.
I thought during ROTF we'd get one. Devastator there just didn't work. Legends was nice, but small.
Of all the combiners to get the treatment, why not Devastator?
Then again I'm partial to technobots and terrorcons, more classic type toys in general is great.
I really hope after DOTM, we get a new gestalt.

Personally I am biting the bullet and buying the TFClub version (sorry bank account) and hoping it is worth it. But honestly, even if it turns out being a terrible Devastator, it will satisfy me to have all six Constructicons in my collection. Something about that just makes me terribly happy.

Based on everything I'm hearing, it's should be more or less comparable height to the FP'ed Bruticus. Bruticus head to foot is nearly 12" (maybe even a full foot with a straight legged pose,) and a few inches over to the tip of the barrels on his back. Supposedly TFC's Dev will be right about 12".

This set is expensive as all get out, but I'm taking the plunge on the first fig. If for some reason that one is suspect, I'll re-evaluate from there...but I can afford to make an occasional $100 mistake. But I'm reasonably confident this thing will be a must have 3rd Party offering when all's said and done...

That is good news for me about the height. Thank you. I'd still like to have the original G1 figure, then one with the crazydevy parts, and the TFC club one. I have room for them all :)

Oh man, I can see a "Progression of Man (Devastator)" setup now with the Micromaster version, the G1 figure, Energon, G1 + Crazydevy, TFC figure.

The Energon repaint isn't what we really want though, is it? We want six unique robots.

As far as Iknow it hasn't been hinted at. It would probably be a rather expensive toy to design. Look at what they came up with for RotF: the 'supreme' Dev was a vehicle or two short and just looked like a few trucks glued together.

Wow. So its already been done? Thank you for the pics fellas but I gotta say Im less than impressed. With the exception of the neon green that fig dosent pay hommage to the classic devestator much at all. Plus imo it looks kinda crappy.
I was kinda hoping for all six constructicons to be molded true to their toon look as is the case with most other generation figures. (universe, classic, generations, whatever)
I was also hoping they would be a full five to six inches so they will be to scale with other figures when not combined to make devestator. Not to mention that six inch constructicons = ONE BIG ASS HONKING DEVESTATOR!!! "PREPAIR FOR EXTERMINATION!!!"
...........Ehem.....err......yeah. Sometimes I get a bit carried away. So thats what I was hoping for. I am glad to know that they exist tho. Becoming a member of this sight is exactly what I needed. An outlet to discuss transformer stuff and to talk about my unhealthy figure addiction. Now if I could only sort out this whole generations vs universe vs classics thing................. :)

WOOOAAAH!!!! Now thats what Im talkin (typin) about!!
Now if a third party developer can do this then why cant hasbro?
When the 2000 motu line was killed (due to poor advertisement, short packing, scalping and general disinterest from children due largely to the problems listed above) Mattel was able to keep the master sculpters that did the line and had them create figures just for fans.
You order these figs online and they are yours. No fruitless searches through stores or resorting to ebay and their inflated prices.
Now Im NOT saying that I would prefer our classics line to go the way mattel took motu Im just saying that they should offer us exclusive figures with new sculpts that they would otherwise not be producing. Jack up the price tag a bit to pay for the new sculpts and to make the whole thing worth it and everyone is happy.
Since I know that what I am talking about is only wishfull thinking I suppose I should get prepared to pony up the $$$ for that kick ass devestator. So, is this developement party credible, do they offer quality control anywhere near par with hasbro and does anyone know how much I should expect to pay for these constructicons?
Thank you for your help! :D

Oops! I apologize for double posting. I should have used the edit button but I was in the process of picking my jaw up off the floor and was too buisy recovering from the effects of the utter coolness of that devestator fig to realize I had not allowed another post inbetween my two. So sorry folks. :D

Hasbro is capable of doing this kinda of work, but there are a number of reasons they don't. A couple of them are: they're a kids toy company so they have to adhere to child safety standards which most of these 3rd Party products likely don't meet. Next, and probably the biggest reason, Hasbro's bottom line is profit...there's gotta be a ton of work put into this Dev figure! Why should Hasbro bother when they can just do another Bumblebee figure that requires a lot less work and make more money to boot? In other words, it just doesn't make a lot of business sense for Hasbro to do it...

3rd Partiers have gotten to the point where they're putting out high quality products on par with Hasbro's quality, although until this particular figure is in hand, we won't truly know just how good and durable it is...and from there it remains to be seen how well and sturdy the combined mode is. The price, assuming they charge about the same for all six, will come out to about $600. The first figure is already available for preorder and should supposedly be shipping in the next month or so. From there, they claim the others will be released every other month. Here are a couple links to pre-orders:
http://robotkingdom.com/services/eshop/ ... =us&CatID=
http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/prod ... ode=retail
The first is cheaper, but is an overseas shop. The second is more expensive, but located in the States and known for exceptional service. But both are reputable dealers and site sponsors.

There's no problem with it, the real reason I went all picky on you is because by your title, I thought they were making some kind of Generations WFC Ironhide. I felt teased. Sorry if it offended you in any way.

Yeah. I must apologize for that. I just hate being taken advantage of. Also, try as I might, I cannot understand how some support the massive inflation and the dammage it does to some collectors wallets. All well
Do you know how tall the figures are in that repainted five pack of constructicons from the pics posted on previous pages of this thread? I would like to display them with my other figures and so Im hoping they are six inches like the rest. I personaly dislike them They look like childrens toys to me where as (for some reason) all my classics, universe and generations figures do not.
Still, I must have some constructicons for my collection. I like the add on parts for the reissue G1 devastator but at the end of the day if I want to display them individually in bot form they will not blend well.
