Got Beachcomber and Brawn yesterday - my impressions

Nice lil figures. Quality is good: the paint and build seem to be pretty good; no paint problems, all the joints are tight but still move smoothly. The wheels spin freely. They seem like they'll hold up will over time.

Transformations are mostly simple and old-school, though obviously not as simple and old-school as their original G1 counterparts. I am a little disappointed with the articulation in bot mode though, only because the Animated Legends are a little better in that regard. While the Animated Legends are like mini versions of their Deluxe/Voyager counterparts, the G1 Legends are more like G1 figures in their simplicity.

Overall I'm pleased with them. I like them much better than the Movie Legends or even the more recent Universe Legends, and I'm looking forward to getting the rest of the G1 Legends.

Oh, I also got a nice surprise from HTS in the box: a $5 "gift code" - $5 off my next purchase - before 12/31. But I don't know if this is part of a wider promotion, a reward because I've placed several orders with them recently, or an apology because there were some complications with this order.

If you're wondering why I didn't get BB, it's because he's coming in a separate order, as a result of the complications mentioned above.

I picked up Bumblebee, Brawn and Beachcomber this morning. I agree the paint apps look nice and the overall QC is great.

Whoever thought to remake the minibots as legends should be commended. This is a great idea.

I got all three (Brawn, Beachcomber & G1 BB) yesterday and I agree with you, these guys are pretty good for under $5 a pop. I really like Beachcomber and I feel he is the best of the three.
