I've seen him in the store for about a week now and have been back and forth over whether to get him. He looks cool as a bot, and the "Becomes over 13 inches tall!" on the box really got my attention, but, when I look at the back of the box to see his alt mode, to me it just kinda looks like he's still in his robot mode, only in the doggy style position. Which I find pretty damn creepy actually. I bought GF Convoy Prime which came with the little foldout of other Cybertron figures and showed it to some friends of mine, specifically pointing out Metroplex and asking what they thought of him. And the 2 people I showed it to started laughing and said the same thing, "Why's he bent over like he wants some robot lovin?"
So my question is: Is he any good? Is it worth getting just to keep in robot mode? Is it just that one picture that makes him look like that? Or is he actually in doggy style mode?
Thanks.
Is Metroplex any good as a toy?

If you can find it on clearance, it's not bad. I got mine for $10 and I don't think I would have felt good about spending any more on it.

lol, doggy style position. This is exactly why I didn't buy him.
Well, if you think about it ... "robots in disguise" wouldn't be practical for bots of the other sexual orientation. One really has to "advertise" to be successful in that area. I recently learned that lisps aren't a speech impediment.
My uncle gave a speech at a recent family funeral, and his lisp magically disappeared for a few minutes. I was like ... "WTF?"
Well anyway, I think I better stop now before I start a flame war.

He's not too bad. Yes his Alt mode is pretty lame but maybe this will give you some idea of his potential:

So his alt mode is kinda lacking. he has many other possibilities to make up for it.

Like the other guys said, if you can find him cheap ($20.00 or under), he's actually not that bad of a figure.
