I wasn't sure where to query this without derailing, or talking about something that may have already been spotted.
But while transforming my Kingdom Magnus, I noticed he's got a pair of clips at the back of his armour's heels. They go completely unused on this version of the mold, but I don't know if they're used on one of his previous versions [Siege Magnus or Prime] for something, or if it's a holdover for an upgrade bot for the Supermode Prime in the future?

They're the clips the Siege version uses to hold the sides of the trailer to the cab. On the Kingdom version the trailer is moved up a little, so the clips don't line up with the cab any more.

The ones on the back of his armored feet, are the clips for his shoulder pylons on the Siege version.
The pylons clipped onto those in vehicle mode.
Since the pylons were retooled, and the trailer was changed and sits further back, those clips no longer serve any purpose in the Earthrise version.

The more I look at my Kingdom Ultra Magnus, the more I feel Hasbro got super lazy with it. I've probably only transformed him once. He'll probably stay in robot mode forever.

Yeah they screwed up when they modified how the trailer connects to the cab robot. If they had left it the same way the Siege version was, it would be better in vehicle mode. At least the robot mode looks good, both the cab and the combined form. I just wish the Kingdom armor could connect to the Siege cab robot, that way both could be displayed, since the Kingdom version is the better looking version IMO.

Well, they were trying to make it look more like the G1 toy, where the trailer is distinctly separate from the cab. Although since it's still a rigid connection, it's a change of questionable worth.
For my money Kingdom Magnus wasn't worth considering when I already had SIEGE; decorative G1 support pillars and a more Freightliner-esque cab front were not enough to entice me into double-dipping, and I didn't like some of the changes to the armor.
I still hope for a Commander-class Magnus one day. That would actually be able to carry 4 CHUG Autobots in car mode the way G1 UM can carry 4 G1 Autobots (at least if they're Diaclone-based), and potentially have most of the G1 toy's play features (I say most because I doubt we'd see launching missiles).
