First off let me say Soundwave is my favorite TF of all time. so i'd like to say WFC soundwave is the best version, but I can't becuase I don't have WFC Soundwave, and I want him...

but anywhy, I want to share my opinion on each Style of Transformers.

War for cybertron.

I think WFC TF's are the best looking ones yet. and it feels like you have some serious Warbots with these.

Movie TF's, look really good and very realistc, and I really enjoy the look of Scan series Ironhide, and mechtech Ratchet.

Armada/Energon,Unicron trilogy. I don't know about you but Armada was my favorite TV show, and the Toy style at the time was really good well. but it's better that they have Deluxe class now,
becuase The Armada toy line was very organized.

Beast Wars was had good toy style, and some of them were really nice like Dethcharge which is my favorite beastbot.

Animated toy style is, in my opinoin, inferior all of the others. it's much to simple altouht i still like the ones i have.

Classics/Generations, I really like the look of most classic G1 based figures. which feel more like the real G1 bots should have been. but generations g1 red alert bothers me, I have him and his robot form isn't quite up to my standerds... but the vehicle is beutiful.

the real G1 bots... personally I don't need them, I'd like to have a few but theres just not enough articulation or "playabilty" to meet my needs as a collecter who likes to tranform them alot, theres little to no "fun" with them. I don't buy anything that deosn't actually do something exciting, or at least, have a lot of guns...with a few exceptions of course.

I has more picutres but I'm too lazy to upload them... sorry.

There's my opinions, what are yours?

the big question is... will you let your TF's sit and collect dust, or will you actually transform them... after all, TF's get really mad if you neglect them... don't say I didn't warn you! I learned the hard way! so be less strict and play a little! or you might wake up to an army of glowing robot eyes... kind of like a horror movie... except i'm getting carried away with this... you get the picture!

would go off on a massive reply, but, tbh, my views are extremely similar to yours.
and yes, i most DEFINATELY play with them/pose them and etc.
Hersocape makes a very good battleground for transformers. :D(but put the figures away first! I have because i was scared of them breaking)

It's nice to see someone here who likes to transform their TF's, it seems most members of this site just let their bot's sit around and simply look good

but theres nothing wrong with that, I have a few (beast wars transmetals) that never leave the shelf in my room, other than that, they all get some time to transform.

I don't know how you feel about this but... I really miss the days when I was kid and could play with my toys and no one would juge me.

in the beginning it was easier to transform them because i had room to display them in vehicle/bot mode but after the 250+ mark thats become increasingly difficult. i think for me my favorite line would be alternity. theyve got some of the most interesting takes on classic characters and the paint jobs are simple yet beautiful. >:oP

personally i'm not a great fan of alternators/alternity/binaltech/etc
they look awesome, especially in car mode, but from what i've heard some of them can be a right pain to transform...

It varies from bot to bot, but Smokescreen, Wheeljack and Tracks are pure horror. They look like a millions bucks, though. I got the Binaltechs, which aren't very good toys to start with anyways.
