Maximum Dinobots #1 Discussion (Spoilers)
So will Ultra Magnus still be hunting Grimlock and the rest of the Dynobots?
How much of Scorponok is left? Dante seems to be more dominant, or is it really the other way around?
In contrast, Hunter and Streaker seem to be distinctly separate minds still, though they struggle even now to come to terms with how much so.
Good to get a hint at least that the other Dynobots are maybe not as under control as Skywatch thinks they are.
Notice how the last instant with Shockwave was glazed over a bit? Shockwave is coming, but when? We just get a very brief flashback to the point where it all went down on ancient Earth, nothing more.

I picked it up yesterday and really enjoyed it, Both the writing and especially the art was great.
I haven't bought any comics since Revelations 4 because AHM fails to impress me. But Maximum Dinobots is a winner in my book. Can't wait for the next issue.

Good read. I hope they explain the Headmaster process more in depth in the series, mainly why Scorponok needed it and why it's such an improvement. I wonder if the Dinobots vs. Grimlock senerio is going to be all Skywatch controled, or if once the control is broken the Dinobots attack Grimlock for what he got them into.

It's because Magnus shot him in the face all those months back in Spotlight Ultra Magnus

That shot to the head didn't look that severi in Spotlight UM, but yeah I thought of that to. Obviously Scorp was working on the technology in that issue as well.

Bad-ass It just shows how much of a fail AHM is. I hope AHM will get reckoned out of the idw verse.
Hunter and Streeker seem quite strange I just wish the other two would still be alive.

For as much of a fail that some people say AHM is, Max Dinos sure hasn't generated much discussion for the debut issue.

Re: Maximum Dinobots #1 Discussion (Spoilers)
I know this is probably just being nitpicky but where are Hunter's implants?
When Ultra Magnus first caught up with Scorponok on Nebulos I had the impression that Scorponok was going to start the Headmaster program there but Ultra Magnus ruined it. We saw a heavily cyberized Nebulan in a glass tube in that issue.
Now in MD #1 Dante's implants are visible through his skin but Hunter, who apparently went through the same process looks completely normal. I know Scorponok is a much larger robot and therefore has a much larger head but he had to be hoisted into his exoskeleton before transforming into a head.
Does Hunter's exoskeleton immediately latch on to him if Sunstreaker goes from alt mode to robot?
Could the Hunter seen in MD #1 be an avatar? If so, then where is Hunter's body while in car mode?

Have another good look at him, you'll notice that he has all this static stuff going on like the Holomater thingies the Autobots have. The dialogue even states that he'S a holomater thing.

- Weapon: Reciprocating Laser Cannon
It was very... nostalgic, could I say, it has the Furman-write in it, with the relative slowness of the first -ation series. How I missed this... Thousand times better than the AHM.
They are, aren't they?
Last I saw them, Ratchet could revive them on the Ark.

Ahh, I see the the "static" now. That Hunter is holomatter. Cool.
But, where is Hunter physically in Sunstreaker?

Where ever Streakers real head would be.

He was trying but failed...Those were the best Humans in any TF fiction EVER!
I agree that they are the best (especially Verity), but they live; In Devastation 5, Ratchet succeeded to get them back. (around the 10th page - beep-beeps on the lifesign screen, Jazz: You did it, doc!)

Aw crap, this is out?
I stopped at my LCS to pick up my last 3 weeks or so of comics, and this wasn't in the pile.
Now I gotta try to hunt one down.

Re: Maximum Dinobots #1 Discussion (Spoilers)
This was a good read. A little on the quick side but I felt it flowed a bit better than "Revelation" and certainly seems to have more to it than AHM (although Furman does have the benefit of twenty-three issues + spotlights to work from).
Can anyone clarify how much in-comic time has passed between "Infiltration #0" and "Maximun Dinobots #1"? There was a three week gap between "Escalation" and "Devastation", correct? So, is it about a month?
I like the fact that Hunter has a holomatter version of himself. Given what we've seen Bumblebee and Ironhide's holomatters do in previous issues, could Hunter effectively live out a normal life using his holomatter version?
Grimlock's transportation to the middle of Fallon kind of makes the Constructicons' scene in AHM #1 seem out of place to me. People must be aware of Transformers existence. Even with Skywatch shutting down all communications and stopping people from going in / out, surely someone would release info in the year that passes between this and AHM? Or is Skywatch going to get everyone in Fallon to sign a confidentiality agreement?

Interesting aspect with Hunter.
But that with the Constructicons is a huge plot hole as the Transformers were exposed in Devastation and were seen on the news. That's just McCartney not comunitacting with Furman.

Re: Maximum Dinobots #1 Discussion (Spoilers)
In the beginning of Infiltration Transformers were a conspiracy theory or urban legend. Hunter believed in them.
Forget the Dinobots appearing in Fallon. Most of the people in that town may not survive.
In Devastation Sixshot is rampaging through a heavily populated area that included a news crew.
AHM does mention the Machination and them being shut down and combine that with the military not really having a clue as to what they are up against leads me to believe that after the Dinobots and Co beat the Machination and Co Skywatch came in and cleaned everything up with the military not being "in the know."
Skywatch has been the one entity missing from AHM.
