Re: More images of Universe Inferno.
Man he looks awesome. And the headsculpt is so close to the original without being trapped in a head box. I wish he had the "greener" looking water and eyes like in the promo pic, instead of the darker blue. But it's all good, he looks great.
I do wish whoever took the pics would've rotated the shoulder 'wings' around so they're in the back. They look really funny to me sticking out like that.
What a cool figure, I love the Classics 2.0 line.

Re: More images of Universe Inferno.
I no longer care for Inferno having a ladder, the water cannon that is in it's place is just fine by me.
This figure is Awesomesauce, the whole Classics line really has been building up to the release of this figure, Inferno is it's pinnacle.

This easily gets $22-$23 of my money.
In fact, this'll probably be one of those figures that I get two of.
Totally agree with a couple others, this is a great blend of old and new.
This will be the first Universe Voyager class figure to add to my collection.

So we're mostly complaining that the weapon is under his arm, instead of on the outside of, or is a handheld.
I'm complaining that the arm ITSELF isn't the weapon! What ever happened to Inferno's little laser hand?

I'm totally pleased with this figure. I'm happy that we got an updated Inferno that is both modern and evokes the original mold.
Is it perfect, no, but the only things that could've made it better would be to have the weapon mount over his hand so you could give him the G1 look or have two fists. That just me being nitpicky though.
Bring on Grapple!!!

Why couldnt the Universe be the main line to tie in with a cartoon?
Inferno looks great. I agree that he could easily be adapted for Grapple, I just hope he isnt a yellow fire truck.
Anyone else think that this could also be a good Prime? A mix of G1 and RID.

Just when I've gotten off the wagon of buying TF's, they go an release one of the first Transformers I had as a kid.
Well, Inferno, Sideswipe, and Hound, combined with the Roadbuster 2-pack I need to get.
I hate you Hasbro.
I swear if they every do a Universe Powermaster Prime, or Universe Rodimus Prime, I'll have to kill someone.

Was that a laser hand? I thought it was a fire extinguisher.
This is a great rendition of Inferno. I wonder who gets the credit for the design - Hasbro or Takara?

The beauty of this mold is that it shows no sign of being a robot. Until you tranform him.
It's even got seats in the cockpit.

Here are a few more pics I found for the recently ended Ebay auction.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0264972542
These show size comparsions, as well as a back view of robot mode.

I really like the amount of detail that was put into the alt mode. I've been wondering if he would look cooler with the white wingtips by his head, like in the G1 version.

I've been giving it some thought too.
Doubt it would look as good with this mould as it did on the original figure, I think they'd just look rather silly, and hiding them in alt mode could be a bit of a pain (since it seems Hasbro is trying to keep figures as altogether as possible, unlike G1).

Wow, i like it! He's bigger than Prime!!! Woohoo!
The back view looks good too. Although the butt looks better than the crotch. Looks like it should be the other way around. Anyway, still a very good figure. Much better than diminutive Prime. This is worth Voyager pricing.

Universe is just sucking us skeptics back in, man. I already broke down and got Prowl [before I found out about the sticky paint probs] and I'm planning on getting Galvatron and Cyclonus. Hasbro's generosity is simply atrocious.

Re: More images of Universe Inferno.
I gotta say, with the inclusion of the e-bay photos, I am loving this figure more and more. Even from the back Inferno is a very well designed, and appealing no matter how you look at it.
Just enough of a brick design that doesn't conflict too much with movement, or anything else. The kibble is sparse and actually adds to the design in robot mode. The alt-mode looks fantastic, and the transformation looks easy enough and wouldn't require anyone, kids included, to look at the directions.
If only Hasbro gave us something like this for Energon Inferno.
Edit: ON the transformation, it looks like it doesn't stray that far from his G1 counterpart. Which is awesome.
Now, just when is he coming out, and his eventual repaint into Grapple, afterall this is one of the few instances a Repaint(and hopefully a bit of a retool especially on the side panels that hang on the back of his arm) works and is welcome.

If i remember correctly, Grapple has the hook thing. I hope he will be given just that when a repaint is in the offing.
