Well, that's kind of what I mean. The average japanese citizen can barely fit these guys in their room, and adult collectors in other countries make up a very small market.
Even smaller considering those who both are willing to pay the money, and won't get thrown out of the house by the misses by buying a 8 ft transformer. That's a very small market indeed, and Takara wouldn't make a lot of money out of the endeavor. With the cost of developing a figure like that, coupled with the ammount of units sold, does not equal a huge profit.
That's why if they made an MP Fort Max or Devastator, I doubt they would be much bigger than the other MP figures.
