A new Tank Megatron to Gun tank Galvatron. HASBRO would never do a Megatron gun. There was already an MP Megs gun, and of course, HASBRO could not sell it here.

I see it kind of folding inside out to 'hide' the colors unwanted in the other mode.

Still it would be much better if Galvatron was released on his own.

to solve the rounded off limbs & body parts that galvatron has verses the more square/rectangular body parts/limbs megatron has.

how about they go the Animated leader sized megatron route. where the toy had rounded off block parts & limbs. this seems like the best way for the 4 changer galvatron/megatron MP toy.

after all the 1986 galvatron toy didn't have the extremly rounded off body parts/limbs like the 1986 movie/season 3 galvatron cartoon character had.

flip around purple/red panels shouldn't be too hard to accomplish on a TF toy.

I suspose to make things a bit easier. perhaps we can get a cybertronian style gun mode like sixshot has. this would make it easier to convert the toy into galvatron's laser canon alt mode. and at the same time make it easier to sell the toy in america by hasbro. as it's no longer a realistic gun mode.

If takara was smart they'd just throw in the 1986 galvatron toy gun mode that in the instructions & on the box art & call it megatron's gun mode. maybe re-imagine the galvatron 1986 toy gun mode a bit for the MP toy to make it look more better & more adult designed.

all that would really be needed is the following: megatron robot mode. galvatron robot mode. galvatron laser canon mode. galvatron 1986 gun mode re-imagined to make it look more better & less kiddie,perhaps make it look like sixshot's gun mode a bit.

ofcause i'd still prefer the front part of the megatron robot mode,had a design similar to animated leader sized megatron chest & stomach area. while the back of megatron's robot mode had a galvatron styled chest & abdomen area.

Without fail, Deathy managed to devolve his own thread into an off-topic argument. Its funny cause its predictable. Its not funny cause its predictable. Everyone of his threads should be locked on sight due to his inability to have a civil conversation with playing the role of one-upper. This is my humble opinion.

Anywho, by bringing up the 1986 toy, are you suggesting that this new, quad changing masterpiece has to only look as good as a 1986 G1 toy to be considered a success in your view? The G1 Galvatron was a great toy in its day. I played with mine daily. Broke my heart when my brother broke it on me. With that said, in the year 2011, that figure is garbage. Nearly every one of my generation deluxe figures is better than that figure. To even slightly hint that some corners be cut in the final product because, after all, the G1 figure didn't look a certain way is a fail on your part.

In 2011, a masterpiece better look like a masterpiece. Everything that you just suggested in your last reply, all of the corners cut and sacrifices made for the sake of pulling off the gimmick does nothing but take the toy out of the masterpiece category. Again, pass. It can't be done right and look good. If would look like crap period. And if by some miracle they could pull it off to where it looked amazing and accurate in all 4 modes, it would be obscenely expensive. No thanks.

I think about 98% out there would rather they just do a plain old MP Galvatron on his own...

Interesting concept, I agree with the others that the 4 modes would be less then stellar. Too much going on there. I get why everyone seems to want a Galvatron figure, especially now that theres a Rodimus. Still not to amped up about a Galvy fig though. To me he was kind of an afterthought in the whole G1 world. A mistake really. Ugly to boot. OG Megs was a way better bad guy. As happy as I am with the MP Rodimus, he falls in to the same category to me. Unnecessary. (At least as a Prime)

I still want a Skyfire MP. We never got an accurate G1 version of him and as cool as the Henkei version is he could be done much better. And bigger. I would hope Tak would reverse course and make him a head or so taller than Grimlock. (would say OP but since he has been shrunk, whatever)

IMO no one TF has as much potential for bad assedness as Skyfire done MP style.

Takara & hasbro can only come so close to the 1985 Jetfire/Skyfire designs without getting sued by Bandai or whoever holds the liscense to the robotech designs.

that's the reason hasbro/takara gave us the animation/comic designs for 1985 skyfire/jetfire & not the robotech toy designs in a newer mold design.

Their are already a few masterpiece Robotech Jetfire designs out their already made by other companies not called hasbro. I should know because I own 2 different versions made by 2 different companies.

yes I realize the decals are different. just make believe it's a night attack decals.

This is just rumor so take it for what it's worth, but I've heard rumblings about a new Starscream MP based on an F-14 that somehow they'd repaint/remold into MP Skyfire. Whether it's BS or how it would even turn out if true...???

I also saw that rumor that was posted in TF Moderated boards/threads everywhere on the internet.

The rumors seemed kinda weird. as the source or sources claimed they knew advanced Takara MP TF toy info for the next 5 new molds that were comming out within a few years time span.

Personally the rumors seemed odd. because I didn't think takara/hasbro planned that far in advance for the MP TF toys. thus far it can take 6 months to 18 months to release a new mold MP TF toy. so times that by 5 molds & that's a long way ahead into the future. listed in these MP new molds rumors was the new MP Seeker designs mentioned in the above reply.

personally I'd rather get MP Galvatron,MP Cyclonus,MP Sixshot & MP Shockwave before I see any redesigned MP TF toys that we already received in the MP TF toy line.

Hopefully thats just a garbage rumor and not true because I could tink of a few reasons not to do it. #1 Despite the hip kibble, the MP seeker mold is pretty outstanding. I don't think it warrants a re-do just yet, if ever. #2 There are so many other characters out there that need masterpiece molds, if would be a shame if time was wasted re-thinking an already existing mold. #3 Skyfire looked absolutely nothing like an F-14 Tomcat. Not even a little bit.

I dont want a MP design for Skyfire based on the Macross fighter from Bandai. As you stated that mold is available still and I already have one plus two Jetfire figures as it is.

I would like one based on the cartoon design. The reason he looked so different in the cartoon vs. the toy was for legal reasons. So it stands to reason a toy based on the revised design would avoid any legal issues. The Henkei version is a good example of this. Just needs to be done better for the higher price point.

Are there any pics of this "new seeker design"? I have not heard about this to date and would like to see it if a concept has been posted.

If there were and they were made public, I'm sure they'd be posted here. This is all rumor at this point. But in these same discussions is an Ultra Magnus with trailer based off the upcoming MP-10 design.

Oh well. Sounds like bad idea anyway. I wouldn't mind an Ultra Magnus with his armor though. I wont hold my breath on that though since it would have been nice for MP2 as well. Come on third party....
