Granted the pix don't show him put together as well as he could be, but in another thread the point was discussed that he should look like he's been in a car wreck. Even his bio mentions all the "battle testing" he's been through--it's Ironhide!

Don't let the rough exterior turn you off, though. This one's a gem, and one of the first great incarnations of this G1 character we've gotten (the other passable one being a Botcon exclusive, so good luck with that one...).

i got schooled on this type of comment. i absolutely love the bot mode-it's great. i think most people have a problem with the alt mode because it looks like a toy car got thrown on the ground......not a cool suv got beat to a freaking pulp. ironhide's alt mode is the one that stands out when he is sitting next to all the other alt modes on my desk; he looks cheap and childish compared to the likes of Prowl, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Silverstreak, Acidstorm, Powerglide, Onslaught etc. Ironhide just doesn't match the rest of the line as far as having the look of quality.

Bah i'm gonna pass on this figure. The first pictures showed it with blue clear plastic windows and a silver bumper. Now it's just paint on the windows and the bumper is not chromed at all.

What the hell Takara/Henkei!
