Not sure where this is covered, Im sure it is somewhere, but I couldn't find it in the repair forum so....
Rookie here, I have figures from G1 that have chipped paint on the metal parts (prowl and red alert). I was wondering if there was a good paint to use to repaint the metal parts, if I sand a prime it first, brush paint/spray? If there is an easy to find forum that I am somehow missing that would be great. If not, if anyone has any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Painting Question
I have a suggestion.
Tesors has a line of enamel sprays, called model mastes, that, although they do not say so, stick beutifully to die cast. But, you need to entirely strip the part to be painted, and sand it so well it shines like chrome just about.
Which figures are the affected ones?

Re: Painting Question
Red Alert will be my tester figure. The back end of him. Other ones that I have from my old collection arn't too bad, but I have started buying oldschool ones again recently. Prowl doesn't look too bad and would probably be a pain since he is two toned. Red alert has a lot of tight spots, is there something you suggest to use for stripping, and any certain type of sandpaper.

Re: Painting Question
I used a heavy-duty dremel like tool, called the Wizard. Made by Black and Decker. I simply used a drum head and sanded all paint off.
But it's powerful, and will cut through metal if you press too hard.
