Anyone else excited about the non EX raid Mewtwo?! I am. I have one, and I only got the pass thanks to that fluke last year that sent out passes to EX eligible gyms that hadn't had an EX raid yet. Or some such.

I'm also happy for something other than all the Alolan 'mon I already have M/F of (except Vulpix/Ninetails, WTH?!), specifically a Kangaskhan to make up for the spawns I missed by an hour last year at Worlds in Anaheim!!

The day has begun! So many Pokemon that I haven't seen for ages. Finally caught myself a semi-decent Rhyhorn (haven't IV'ed it yet) and have thrown a egg from Houston into the incubator.

Gonna hatch me a giant kangaroo creature ...

Been playing since launch. Currently lvl 38 and will hit 39 before years end. It really helps if you have a local community with a discord channel. Prior to scanners getting knocked out, we used to do all sorts of caravan raids once those came out. Usually the people I would see in gyms were people in my discord community. But lately it has been a lot of names I have not seen before. The new friend/trading system, along with research quests, mythical research quests, community days, and raids have brought back a lot of people. Can't wait to see what PvP does.

Thus far, Kangaskhan is the only one I need to complete the Kanto pokedex. I still need Smeargle, Heracross, and Celebi (which is half way there) for jhoto. Hoenn still needs Tropius, Torkal, Chimecho, Relicanth and anything else unreleased.

And for the record, when you complete a pokedex, nothing happens. Not even a star by the dex number.

As for Mewtwo, I've caught so many of him already since I am batting 1000 with every EX raid I have done since his catch rate is higher than most legendaries. Got a 98% iv one a couple of months ago with the higher attack stat. The only ones I seek are a shiny or a "hundo" (100% iv). Sadly, most non-event shinnies in the game hate me and stay away.

@Roadbuster: Very nice! I've been playing since launch week, although getting in to the game at the time with a PTC account was difficult (which is what I still use). I have a few co-workers that play so we go walk around town at lunch and do raids if they interest us during the day. I only GO Plus things on the weekend and after work, and I haven't participated in any of the "Legendary Raid Days" myself. Just hit 39 last week, I'm guessing I'll be 40 sometime next year. I make sure I get a Pokestop/catch/task complete per day, but other than that I've been pretty casual. Luckily, I've been in cities during some of the bigger XP events so GO Plus'ing was definitely worth it.

Try a Go-tcha. They can be a little more finicky to use but they actually will auto catch provided you have the pokeballs. You can also set it to spin Pokestops automatically though that function is hit or miss.

I was thinking of replacing the Plus with a GO’tcha as it finally died yesterday!! Autocatch/spin would be nice. I know you can change which ball it uses on the GO’tcha too, correct? I’m sitting on 300+ regular, 380+ ultra.

Otherwise, rather tame this morning. There's a small spot on the waterfront that has a gym and three Pokestops, for some reason we're getting network errors there, no where else in town, just that spot.

I don't think you can change the ball it uses. It only recognizes Regular Poke Balls. Nobody in my community has figured out how to get it to use Great or Ultra Balls.

Nice! I got a Tauros from one of the eggs you sent my way. And I accidentally transferred it out :lol:

or traded it. Who knows. I did get a Mr. Mime, a local player we see around occasionally that only has local players as friends picked up FOUR Kangaskhan!! My co-worker did get one of each, a Mr. Mime, a Tauros, a Kangaskhan, and a Farfetch'd. The odds of that are super low. What a jerk. :lol:

Thoughts on Deoxys? I think it's neat that you'll be able to find EX eligible gyms in game!

I hatched two Kangaskhan's yesterday, which should upset me but one was around 98%.

I'm up to three Mr. Mimes, still no Tauros.

I like that they're going to identify gyms, as a small town with an incredibly small (and hard to organise) player base, this change should make it easier for us.

7 shiny Chikoritas today, probably about 100 normal, no real great ones amongst them.

There was a glitch after the event ended and everything was an "unknown" which resulted in Dittos. They fixed it pretty quickly but it appears to have triggered five of my eggs to hatch simultaneously (and I know they should have been spaced out). First one to pop was a Taurus.

Add in MewTwo from last night (and two from today), first generation Pokedex is complete!

Well, yesterday evening while I was having dinner with the family, I finally managed to hatch a Kangaskhan, completing my Kanto pokedex. Now, I just need to get an EX-Raid pass for Deoxys.

During our quest last night we caught a 100% pikachu with the new black hat. no shiny Drowzees yet though.

Don't talk to me about those things. This increase in psychic Pokemon? Yeah, apparently they're psychics in disguise. At one point my "nearby" was 2/3 of the bloody things.

What would you guys recommend for an IV calculator for iPhones? I'm using CalcyIV on my S8 but that's not available for iPhones and my partner needs something. From what we've found it all involves screenshotting one at a time and that's bloody time consuming.

Unfortunately most of the IV checkers for I phones are tedious, have you tried poke genie?
