Great review, congrats on your purchase.
Nothing against the OP here.
Just think Renderform is more miss than hit on all of their kits. Creating heads and weapons for TF toys a big chunck of fans called inferior nothings is not a good way to sell kits.
Think other 3rd party companies do a far better job selecting more fan liked TF toys to create replacements heads and weapons for.

I like this kit. Personally, I took a black marker to his head dome, slapped a 'con sticker on him, and I'm calling him Decepticharge

I agree with you. This is the first thing that I have ever purchased from Renderform. Nothing else that they have produced before this has appealed to me. That said, I do really like this set and had no intention of picking up this Bumblebee mold before I saw that this was coming.

I can see how that would definitely work for a Decepticharge! I like him as Hubcap right now.

Disagree. Upgrading "inferior nothings" into usable, different and interesting characters is a fine strategy.
Several Classics 'Bee repaints, Universe Darkwind & Skyfall, IDW Bee, and BH Darksteel would not have any representation or place in my collection without Renderform's help.

Agreed. Where I would've had a Bumblebee, I now have a Bumper, Hubcap, Bumblebee and Goldbug, and a wide array of some pretty cool weapons.

Other third party companies have to choose products they can sell a minimum of 1000 to 3000 units of. Renderform Garage Kits, being a one man operation, with all the products hand made, can focus on ideas only a few hundred people want, and sell it at a comparable pricing.
I don't expect everyone to buy every new item I make. I do have a loyal following of 50 customers or so, who have been buying most of my stuff. But each product does appeal to a different crowd. Its no different than any 3rd party company. How many people refused to even consider to buy Fansproject's Steelcore, who themselves are one of the top third party companies?
In the end, the actual choice of new product, is was I want to make for myself. If I have no interest in the idea, I'm not going to even bother making it. As each piece has a lot of time and effort needed for its creation. Sometimes it seems people think Renderform products are magically made, but their not. Each individual piece is an actual custom, that requires time and energy to produce.

I did buy and like your Universe 2.0 Darkwing upgrade kit.
Kinda wished you made a 1984 Seeker styled head sculpt to replace that ugly movie verse 2010 HFTD Leader Starscream head sculpt.
