I love Prowl's new design, and the armor's cool, but it won't stay on. As far as I can tell, the only thing that holds it on are two tiny tabs that are supposed to slide into two tiny slots on his "wings". But the tabs only fit part way into the slots, and if you so much as breathe on the figure, the armor just falls off. Forget about trying to pose him with his armor on. Either I'm missing something, or this is just terrible engineering.
It's also disappointing that his throwing stars were rendered inoperable. You can still pop them out of the wheels, but they're fused shut so you can't extend the blades. Lame.
Samurai Prowl's armor won't stay on! (Anyone else get him?)

Well, I don't have him yet, so I can't speak to the falling armor problem, but I DO know that, if you can pick up the old Prowl for cheap somewhere, you can switch the throwing stars for the non-usable ones and they're supposed to still fit....
Although it technically makes sense that when he was a ninja-like character he had the stars, and as a samurai he's got a sword-like thing. But I'm with you--stars all the way.

I'm not surprided that the armor just falls off, with the way that most of Hasbro's releases have been recently.
The last two animated figures I've opened were Voyagers Prime and Blitzwing and they are the loosest TF's I've ever owned.
The armor looks nice, but just smacks of being slapped together to get it out before the movie line.

The armor/sidecar itself is of good quality; not at all "slapped together". And they made some nice changes and improvements to Prowl as well, including some nice details like the windshield. It's really just the connection between the figure and the armor that sucks.

After fooling with it some more, it's not as bad as I made it out to be. I discovered that if you position the shoulder protectors the right way, they help to hold the armor up even if the tabs on the back pop out. He's still kind of clumsy to pose, but he looks cool.
And I should mention that I have NO complaints about the alt mode. The sidecar is really cool, and Prowl's new design is sweet.
If you don't have a Prowl yet, or you have the first version and you're a fan of his, I'd still recommend Samurai Prowl.

It's just hard to get it to stay on sometimes. Lets face it, Fans Project City Commander he isn't
It' is a neat little piece though. Just a little hard to mess with at first. I still have trouble with mine too man. For the longest time I coulda swore one leg was longer than the other.
